Feel robbs time has come this year though. With Bundee, Daly and forde all around
one question I’d have on the Ralston signing, what does it mean for Bolton ?
Jennings and Kilgallen also. All around the same age covering the same positions.
It all means more competition, which is what we need. Anything else lately on Chay Mullins?
And with all the new signings, it would be great to get a 2nd row

Is Healy injured or just winding down / out of favour?
He dating the famous Australian Model Ariarne Lepine. I hope she likes the sportsground
Feel like josh Murphy could be the second row signing.
something to be said on waiting to see if Toulon get relegated and mive for Quinn Roux?
He'd some massive days tbf
I'd imagine he's more or a replacement for BOD and or Healy and can cover 13. Delighted at the signing. I still think we need a Hooker though.
Niall Murray should feel hard done by with two molony and joe McCarthy being called up to the Irish squad
In McCarthy’s case it is proximity that has him there. Nice experience but he is there for scrum practice and to hold tackle bags,
Mccarthys been outstanding, and i kind of expected this to be fair. But ye I feel for Murray, if he keeps developing I'd have him in ahead of Molony tbh and keep both Mccarthy and Murray.
Reckon we could be looking at 9-10 players departing this summer.

Hawkshaw confirmed as coming in
Great to have a bit of competition for Fitzgerald and Forde.
I'd say that could be Fitzgerald gone tbh. Had his moments and always gave his best but not sure he's ever really convinced.
Hawkshaw could be a great signing, there was lots of talk of his talent when he was first coming through but that seems to have stalled. No better place for him to push on and lay down a claim for the national team.
Is hawkshaw more of a 12 than a 10?
From what I have seen of Hawkshaw, he is a good player but not a very good 10. Maybe getting more time playing there might improve that, who knows.
Yeah his best position has always been 12.
He’s been playing 10 for Clontarf in the AIL, and obviously had a few senior appearances at 10 plus the A games, so maybe that’s the position he’s pushing to play, but he’s never been super convincing and definitely didn’t live up to the reputation he had coming out of schools/u20.
Hawkshaw was great at u20 level. Could be a fine addition for Connacht.
On the 42 rugby podcast, Jackman said Connacht are looking to sign a tighthead prop as well.
Would mean McCoy and tuimague are gone so. Any word on a lock?
I wonder could they get Oli Jager from the Crusaders.
Irish Qualified but has All Blacks Ambitions too.
But hasn't quite made that level yet..
No chance of that happening.
at this stage in Jagers career a move from crusaders to Connacht would be madness. Hes first choice tighthead at crusaders, starting the first 2 games, before an injury ruled him out of the next 2 (the most recent of which they lost).
being first choice crusaders front row is always the closest you can get to the all black squad, before any call up. id be expecting him to be included in the next wider all black training squad.
You never know. His next contract is an important one.
Lomax, Laulala and Tu'ungafasi are all ahead of him for NZ and none are over 30
Williams and Newell at crusuaders are highly thought of also. Willaliams is a monster for a 22 year old.
yeah williams is the big up an coming for that jersey, the lad is massive.
Big Karl is a loose head.
Laulala is the incumbent, but he is 30 and his sights may be drawn to a pay day in Europe or Japan after the next RWC
Jager shown be targetting the Lomax spot
Yeah williams at 22 is as big as Antonio.
I was on about Ofa Tu'ungafasi the tighthead from the blues came off the bench v France and Italy. Only 29 and has committed to Nz past the WC.
