I saw Tony Connelly mention China giving Russia military aid as a new development on the Six One news. He's on early in the news bulletin with an update. However I don't see any articles to back this up anywhere. Fingers crossed it's not true...
Very, very serious if China starts to offer military assistance to Russia. The Chinese might be bluffing to get concessions from the West.
The China confirmation from Tony Connelly not being reported anywhere so don't think it is correct.
Their latest attempt at sabotaging the nation, was a proposal of legislation to make LNG infrastructure illegal.

Say a lot of logic. Let's say Russia loses, knocked back across Russia with their army, on their knees for a decade or more. America will be able to fully concentrate on China in South East Asia, in regards to Taiwan etc. China had probably seen with America might do in regards arming Taiwan up to the hilt so an invasion by China would be huge cost to them. China might be thinking say if Putin is replaced by someone and is more pro Western then China could be encircled by the biggest country in the world who is more pro western. They will be thinking send weapons to Russia, let them use them in Ukraine, keep America and the allies busy there and let us alone to build up for our invasion of Taiwan. I wonder will this speed up China doing this as they now know what can happen if tons and tons of equipment are given to a country against an attacker. Might make them move their time table up as has been said 5 to 10 years for them to be up to invading Taiwan.
We'll give Ukrainians new lives in the west for those who want it and help them as much as possible keep up the fight for as long as they need.
Russia should certainly never be allowed back at the international table and if China are arming them, they should be heavily sanctioned. Let it be a lesson for all.

Is this new? Russia have already claimed in the last day or so they are asking China for help and China have denied it is true. China risks some sanctions attention but definitely loses face and any honest broker claim if this is the case.
There's still a fair amount of doubt about this. It was run by the FT in an article, but several analysts are questioning the accuracy of it.
I would be astounded if the Chinese committed financial suicide by assisting the Russians.

Whatever about the failure of the nuclear decision in terms of power generation. This nonsense about green platforms being funded by the Kremlin will and is being pushed by major fossil fuel industry. It's horse ****. Yes the nuclear should have been kept . But by god renewable energy should be front and centre over funding murderous fossil fuel regimes the world over. It's costing us wars, lives and the planet . We have to be weened off this **** asap.

Tony Connelly on the RTE Six One news stating that it looks like China is going to give Russia military aid...bad development. Where does this war end if NATO are funding one side and China the other. No one wins and thousands upon thousands lose their lives.

Because you can get in a car, stick Kiev into a Sat nav and drive there and when you get out of your car at the end of your Journey, and look around, you could be in any European Country. That scares people. That's what scares people the most.
Sure, you could drive to Syria or, hypothetically speaking, the West Bank. But if you get out of your car there and look around, you will definitely know that you are in a very, very different society.

I watched Winter on Fire on Netflix and have to say going by that and the doggedness shown by the Ukrainian people Putin most definitely doesn't have enough to take it let alone hold all these places, terrible blunder by Russia.
They ve basically nuked there own economy to invade a country they haven't a hope of subjugation, and the retaliation for years to come from this will be brutal.
Putin is a clown.
It doesn't matter who's lying, the US can use it to give China a stern reminder of the consequences of dipping its toes into this. They are back at that Zero COVID lark anyway.
