They clearly knew you were there behind them judging by the hand signal towards the end. I would wonder why they didn't just move over for you considering they did when there was an oncoming vehicle.
Those guys give fellow cyclists a bad name, zero excuse for that.

This pleb yesterday on my way back from the school run, the car they nearly hit was full of kids heading to the same school as mine.
You were held up for less than 50 seconds. It's unlikely you could have given them more than 1.5 meters clearance safely if they were in single file. Not to mention there was a parked car and entrance to houses etc plus an approaching car.
If it was a tractor or a herd of cows you wouldn't have cared enough to post about it here.
The cows where I'm from have enough intelligence to walk single file at the side of the road on their way to the parlour.
Don't be a smart arse and disingenuous. You wouldn't overtake a herd or cattle of a tractor on this road and you know this.
Not being disingenuous and you were the one who introduced the cows and they were cows when you first introduced them before they turned into cattle in your second post.
There are 2 farmers where I'm from who let their cows go by themselves out to the field in the morning. One of them also lets the cows return by themselves in the evening. One of the older cows always leading, the others follow the one in front. Never a problem easing past them in the car. I'm not condoning what those 2 farmers do, just making the point that cows are able to go to and fro in single file on the side of the road.
Also, when I used to cycle in the local club as a junior, we'd get a right bollocking from the club if we ever rode as inconsiderately as that.

Cows, cattle, pedantry. My point still stands. It's absolutely pointless getting mad over some cyclists holding somebody up for 45 seconds. Pure whinging.

Overtake cows or cyclists? one is a bunch of less than intelligent animals taking over the road with no care in the world to what's going on around them. The other is a herd of cattle. Chances are it's safer to overtake the cows.
Leaving pedantry aside its illegal to cycle three abreast and its dangerous for the cyclists involved. Condoning this behviour is enabling it in the future where the consequence could be much worse.
I was but the point remains, they were hogging the road. I both drive and cycle the road and there is enough room on it for everyone. Thankfully they went one way and I went another but what if we had both been going the same way. The road goes for a few km in either direction before coming to a junction. How long would I or someone else have been held up for.
I don't believe I've ever seen a herd of cows on the road there. As for a tractor, it has no choice. The other road users in this case did have a choice and they chose poorly.
In all fairness, one was considerate by keeping left, the second was a bit inconsiderate by riding in the middle,but the third was a complete twat as they were illegally riding on the wrong side of the road.
You wouldn't maybe but many others do every day.
I'm just curious, do car drivers go over to the cycling forums and try to defend bad drivers like we see here with cyclists defending inconsiderate road usage by cyclists?
To me, bad driving exists with all forms of transport and I think that I can recognise it for what it is even if I also use the same form of transport
I don't see much of that kind of behaviour but the cycling forum is easily the biggest echo chamber of like minded smug self satisfied pompous asses as you'll find anywhere in my opinion
I guess is just so rare to see bad cyclist behaviour on dash cams in comparison to the hundreds of bad motorist behaviour on this thread.
That recording of the cyclists that's making peoples head melt is fairly benign, no threat to life, no danger, just three oul fella's out on a cycle having a chat & holding up a car for under a minute.
The video posted after it with the BMW dodgy overtake is sketchy as fook and presents much more danger to road users, but as it's fairly normal to see so doesn't get as much attention.
Not that rare, sometimes real karma comes to those who deserve it the most! 😂

Look bladespin, I'm a motorist myself, have a dash cam but very very very rarely have footage of cyclists endangering people. In fact I've none. When the subject comes up people search the internet for them and then have to highlight them in a series of car drivers acting dangerously!!
Now, if you have footage of cyclists you feel worthy of putting up... go for it. I'd love to see them.
