A common and dark sense of humour joke by some security researchers who map those who repeat/spread conspiricy theorists, covid misinformation and now the Russian Ukraine situation, is that they need to create accounts for each of the voices in their head.
Doesn't mean that they are exactly harmless but given their tendency to quickly start raving on about other nonsense unrelated to a discussion they blow any chance of convincing anyone that their argument has any validity
Apart from the joke, having multiple accounts to try and argue a point is quite common across the Internet, and something that regular boards users have seen multiple times over different topics where the majority of the site are for something.
.
Did you scan your personal QR code going for said pints? 😄😄😄
Once again; present a video confirming what I said, and some randomer replies talking about "lizard people", haha. Thanks, Yurt 🤣
See ya, guys. Love and safety to the Ukrainian people ✌🏻
Well there you've just described your own comments. Well done you.
the global reserve currency of choice is unassailable
Nothing lasts forever. What is the average lifespan of a global reserve currency?
are highly unlikely to change soon
Ah I see, you didn't mean unassailable, after all. You got carried away by your purple prose.
Did anyone say supplanting? Does the emergence of a strong alternative equate to a supplanting?
What's the comment about Captain America etc? Pffft. You can drop that condescending tone right there. I've voted with my feet to spend the vast bulk of my adult life in the USA. Where have you been? Ballybunion?
Haha Meep, nice try pulling rank with living in the US - I'm not unfamiliar with the place myself but that has very little to do with the price of cabbage (priced in USD natch). Kim Kardashian has spent her adult life in the USA as well, but I won't be deferring to her on the global reserve currency by dint of that fact.
Ballybunion? Never been. I'm sure it's lovely.
The French media is saying that the worst is ahead of us for Ukraine….
The Spanish dollar lasted for 2 centuries and the pound sterling until 1944 when the US dollar became the de facto standard. The Euro is now a backup to the dollar as it inherited the clout of the very safe German DM. In 2016 for example the world's energy, food and services trade were made as follows - 60% with the US dollar and 40% by Euro
It's really quite hard to replace a currency like this although Putin, Xi and others have suggested an alternative or even a standard world currency. That could all take a very long time.
Nail on the head !!!

This kind of thing can really sway American public opinion.
Waiting for Tucker Carson to speculate it was a Ukrainian ambush.
without a doubt there would be a Ukrainian offensive and Russian forces would be hammered from both sides and by drone attack.
If events in Belarus were to go the Ukrainian way the Russians would have nowhere to go.
This is essentially the US-wing of RT:
Bit weird.
If I remember correctly they have the most successful land army in history.
Russia forces now in irpin in numbers
Yeah they are gearing up for some sort big push soon it seems
I see the Russian finance minister has said he wants to repay certain foreign debts in roubles and has admitted they'll have problems servicing their debts - should do wonders for their international credit from anyone, a massive sign basically saying that Russia has problems covering obligations
They do in Europe anyway. You would think people would even know about ww1 but there was only one war in history for most people.
Definitely looks that way
This time last week we were certain that the Russians would take Kyiv in the coming days. Hopefully, this won’t be the case again in the week ahead
It will be interesting to see how the US-Chinese talks go in Italy on Monday.
Russia states that it is relying on China to mitigate the economic consequences of the sanctions
So the territory that Russia seized by proxy in Eastern Ukraine is the reason why they are invading the rest of Ukraine, got it.
A global currency, which no doubt will be digital, is a terrifying concept unless it is decentralised which is unlikely.
China will certainly have some stipulations of their own before they entertain the idea of that.
Long live Ukraine.
Crypto has been very lacklustre during the war. It has dipped in price. It is one of those things which in theory should take over the market. But the reality is that it just lacks that certain edge
Peace talks are looking good..behind the scenes negotiations ongoing ..putin knows he got himself in to something he thought would be a cakewalk. So to look good and save face he will accept a deal which doesn't make him look silly..it was never ever going to head in to any dangerous territory..the Americans knew that and nato..no panic. They knew Russia were bluffing but didn't want to poke the bear too much. No ww3 folks never was it ever going down that route..putin wants a legacy to be left in the eyes of his people..
I remember there were posters with the same conviction regarding Russia invading Ukraine. They said never ever ever…
That said, I hope that you are right and I am wrong
They do, and have the only EU army worth a damn, but the French establishment have been riddled with defeatism since WW1, their media have never seen a war that they thought could be won.
The technolgy is being taken on though and we'll soon have a move to a digital €, $, £ etc. It has the risk of facilitating social scoring or the likes.
The problem is the cybersecurity element. If somebody robs my crypto wallet, it is a lot harder to get the money back.
It could be argued that will all of this focus on laundered money now, Crypto might become less popular
