Pointless, IMO. Better to send money directly to the Ukrainian, Polish, Moldovan humanitarian aid dispensers so none gets wasted on An Post. who are beyond a joke. I recently had to fork out €9 to send a small item to Galway and they are raising postage costs for a standard letter at what seems like 10c a month.
Oh fantastic, An Post have suspended mail services to Moldova, who are currently hosting refugees numbering more than 10% of their entire population! Legends.
Up until quite recently foreigners purchasing property in Ireland had to get permission from the minister for justice.
I mean part of the value of sanctions is leveraging them into a better outcome.
If lifting some or even most of the sanctions on Russia gets them out of Ukraine that would be fine with me.
The problem now of course is that Russia absolutely cannot be trusted to abide by agreements made, negotiate in good faith, nor even to tell the truth on just about any topic.

Putin doesn't give a fcuk about sanctions. He is currently leading the world into an all out conflict and threatening countries like Sweden just like he's done with Ukraine before he invaded there. If it comes to it that the only solution is to take Russia out before they know it, then so be it. And btw I agree that they can't be trusted.
