Brave. Pity there wasn't a few more rocketers banded together. But lots of infantry we see has a rocket launcher with them.
Interesting thread here.
So how does Russia climb down from this without Putin leaving power. No country will deal with Russia even if they do withdraw.
I did. I'd like to amend my original statement your honour, failing that I'd like to change the currency mentioned so as to make the number correct.
If you believe Ronald McDonald does good things for kids, or that Rolex really cares, then your world view on life is seriously fcked up.
What money is behind Rolex waiting lists? It’s not honest money that’s for sure.
Behind these company brands is just pure greed- they’re all sluts giving whatever satan they idolise a good blow job
I feel Ireland should join CSTO and form an alliance with those countries and be a Western member to those Eastern bloc countries. We are very vulnerable being so close to those UK scumbags to our east and NATO too. I feel it would help our country.
Even my own parents remember a time growing up that they had no electricity, raised their own livestock to eat and had no running water.
Not quite on the same level, but as a kid I didn't get running hot water and an inside toilet until I was 10 or 11 years old, around 1975-ish, and this was in the fairly affluent south east of England, about 30 miles from central London. Belts can most certainly be tightened with very little loss of life quality, imo.
Its a good development - companies leaving in advance of sanctions
Good. More payback for murdering pensioner civilians in their family car.
Besides everything that's going on with this war, I'd say the Americans are very surprised at how poor and ineffective the Russians are, if they did get involved they'd smash them especially with nato members. Withstanding nuclear weapons/war.
Loads of countries are currently dealing with them.
Valid point Raind. Mea culpa, I jumped the gun. Though it would surprise me more if they didn't do something like that.
I don't think you realise they are funded by western countries like US and NATO members where do you think they got those drones and weapons. They didn't have them themselves they have been getting supplied for years since Russia took over the part of Ukraine in the south years ago. And have even got more supplied since the war started.
You're correct. But regardless of how it ends Russia, while it will see the return of McDonald's etc, is bolloxed in terms of investment, advancement, progress. On top of all that it's outdated and floundering military has exposed Russia as maybe not the superpower they think they are.
The it'd be funny if it wasn't so serious take from this war...
If Russia wins the war against Ukraine, Russia becomes a pariah state that will rival somewhere between Cuba and North Korea for at least a decade. They effectively lose.
If they pull out the repercussions will be far less severe. Sooooo, which of the Putin bots on here volunteers to update Dear Leader?
It's a very good question. Can the sanctions be lifted if the tyrant remains in the Kremlin? It seems rather unlikely....he's more of a pariah than Kim Jong Un at the moment.
Very, if proven to be true. This bit: Russian army achieved its goals. Donbas is “liberated” stuck out for me. It has completely bloody dumbfounded me(easily done) that putin didn't just "liberate" Donbas and leave it at that rather than go for an expensive war in men, materiel and cash and push beyond that objective. It makes near zero sense. Never mind the shítshow of worldwide anger and sanctions that will send the Russians back to the 1980's. Never mind risking showing his war machine as much less effective than expected.
I would bet that in another dimension where he did just that, his subjects would be on board and much of his army would be back in Belarus for tea, casualities all around would be significantly less and Ukraine would have been well rid of that crap(IMHO). And his oligarch thieves and scum would be tucking into their caviar and moet as usual. Yes we'd have seen some arm waving in the UN and EU but little else(like with Crimea), and nothing like the avalanche of the response he's seeing now.
Yes I do, like I said, US with its experience and hi-tec weapons and machinery would smash russia and that's without nato. Ukraine have some western weapons, intelligence and training but not a fraction of what the Americans have.
You're referring to the Ukrainians, the poster you quoted was referring to the Russians
Is this UN meeting accusation by Russia about America being involved in chemical weapons manufacturing perhaps a contrived attempt to claim Nato has declared war on Russia?
I was there in 1991 when Leningrad was still Leningrad and in the restaurants there you paid at a special counter on the way out. Your bill was totted up on an abacus, presumably because they couldnt get their hands on calculators. You got three carbon copy receipts as well which you were supposed to hang on to for the whole trip in case the police wanted to inspect them. Was back again in 2001 and it was a completely changed country, sky scrapers galore and Ferraris regularly seen on the streets. But the place was absolutely full of beggars compared to 10 years previous when there was virtually none.
Sounds more like deflection and to create an excuse for their invasion
I don't think so, I think Putin will have to be gone. Can't see them lifting sanctions in a hurry when he is gone either - Ukraine needs to be rebuilt and this situation needs to be rendered unlikely to ever happen again.
Personally I'd take it all with a pinch of salt. One of two things is happening there either a) the Kremlin is prepping its out or b) these lads will change their tune when a chemical attack happens and those previously anti war people who listened and agreed with them will be more inclined to get behind Putin.
Still though even to see that message being discussed is interesting.
Putins threat of attacking others is just a threat, I dunno why the West allowed themselves to be bullied like that. The West should have made it clear that not one single bullet would ever be fired on Russian soil, but that they will come to defend Ukraine from invasion on Ukrainian soil. If that was made clear from the start Putin would never have dared.
I would imagine that if Nato were to declare war on Russia that declaration would be made after the bombs have hit their targets.
I fear it's a contrived attempt at Russian justification for their own use.
Putin has to go on trial for war crimes before the lifting of sanctions is even considered. Also Russia will have to pay for the rebuilding of Ukraine.
Yes but there’s a lot of companies out there just itching to give Putin a #McHappyending when this is all over- you can tell by their press releases they’re as addicted to Russian money as a fat slob is to their food - this is all an accountancy inconvenience to many of them - McDonaldz have merely “suspended” business from Russia- they’re just dying to get their corporate mouth around Putins cock when this is all over -sanctions won’t last and will form part of the conclusion to this war as in being lifted
