Is Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP now in bother, or could these intermittent data transfer problems be due to connectivity issues I wonder?
We’ve already seen Putin has that aspect in hand right now- he’s currently using cluster bombs and is likely planning chemical weapons and nuclear terrorism on the nuclear reactors - if you’ve believed Putin to date, if you had to start unbelieving him now, there would be a huge cognitive dissonance in your brainwashed little Russian head- it’s not going to happen.
Unless those in power in Russia, other than Putin do something, they’ll remain Putin sheep
They are irrelevant because they have zero influence. Stop trying to misrepresent what I'm saying. Anyone above Forrest Gump intelligence can follow what I'm saying.
DB apparently out after a lot of reluctance
Oddly enough that's why I don't think he will use the nuke.
That's his trump card for this particular conflict, once he uses that all bets are off. The threat of it does just as good a job.
(I'd argue withholding fertiliser and grain is much more destructive relatively speaking)
Western aid is speeding up the conclusion. Russia is losing men and resources at a staggering rate, it's Army has to bring in head choppers from Syria because too many Russian soldiers do not want to fight Ukrainians.
That's an incredible admission of weakness by Russia. "Please send help, we'll pay you well".
10’s of thousands of dead Russian soldiers and trying to keep a lid on an insurrection from 40million people who hate them. Great plan Vlad
Yeah. You've got to see it through his conspiratorial mind that a weak defeated Russia could just be rolled over by the west. He sees this as a war of survival. That means it has to be won. So I expect the bombardment to increase. I then expect the use of some massive bombs similar to the MOAB dropped in Afghanistan. He'd hope the 'shock' of that would trigger surrender. He's going for sieges to starve the population into surrender too. It's following Syria's playbook.
Ok, now I'm starting to understand you. From now on I shall read all your posts in a very posh D4 accent.
I agree but they are irrelevant.
We're not had several generations of cultural and economic luxury in this country at the very least, not by a long shot.
Speak for yourself, good peasant 😜
Why are you calling me Komrade?
Exactly cause it never happened 😉
I think this is a good point. It fuckin sucks, but by hook or by crook, he's going to have his victory. Whether he gets that victory now or after a significant proportion of central Europe is irradiated is another thing.
Oh god, groans
Are you okay.....?
I've said all along I don't want NATO to intervene directly.
And they won't, Putin won't kamikaze attack NATO so there's no chance.
Next pointless gripe, Komrade?
I wonder how many people welcoming Ukrainian refugees will be as welcoming if a similar number of refugees from the middle East, come knocking at Europe door?
I could see us coming to a stage where we regret prolong the conflict in Ukraine. When it becomes clear the amount of other people who are going to suffer.
Secondly, if it is true the Iranians or their proxies are getting involved then I would be seriously worried about some of the thousands of weapons we have sent falling into the wrong hands although on one positive the people of Yemen are fighting with Saudi Arabia and the people of Yemen are being supplied with weapons from Iran. They've had some success in the past. Attacking Saudi oil refineries perhaps some of the Western weapons might give them more success with beating the s*** out of the Saudis. It will be nice to see the yemenese people get some payback on those Saudi bastards.
That was great, very informative
What food mountain or wine lakes.
They are terms from the 1990s. Our wheat and grain stores are at multi decade lows.
We will be fine, bread will double in price, as will most foods. Veg will become more seasonable and expensive. Between Russia, the Ukraine and Europe we are at about 50% of global grain exports. First two are likely gone, last is getting battered this year
People can eat beef, forage and generally survive.
No one in Europe will Starve.
Take Egypt, 100mn, nearly all Black sea wheat for their main calories, same with Libya and the Lebanon., Tunisia and to a lesser degree Turkey.
All noted for their political stability and content population.
Just say that only 10 million of that 220 million people who depend on black sea grain for a majority to a third of daily calories decide that hunger, political chaos means that the med should be crossed.
Now consider that that applies for nearly every country to a large degree for all of the middle East and North Africa.
Never mind the ones further afield.
. Russia and the Ukraine's wheat is worth about 12 billion dollars a year.
A fortnight of gas and oil will be equivalent.
That's his nuclear bomb that should keep Europe awake at night, not the mushroom cloud.
That's his I'll drag you down with me approach.
We are all so used to global food supply meeting and growing with demand and aware of the crises when excess supply is slightly affected, ie the Arab Spring that we have no concept of what a significant drop in global yield will mean. In comparison to what was happening before the invasion alone, the Arab Spring kicked off over nothing. Most of the Agri world is facing in to Urea nitrogen at up to 2k dollars a tonne this spring. Farms here can't afford that, in countries where 2k is a good wage, even their Govts can't afford it.
The food crises is already assured, hopefully it will be a wet spring in America and Canada among others.
LOL, no country in the west will bomb Tehran just because they sent one of their shia proxy armies into Ukraine.
It could be the west is trying to avoid Russia losing precisely because it makes nukes much more likely. Russia needs some sort of 'win' and it look like the west might benefit from that too. This might explain the pressure that Zelensky has been under to accept the deal Russia 'offered'. It's not great for Ukraine, but it's great for the rest of the world. We all want to see Putin defeated, but a defeated Putin is a dangerous one. Little scumbag.
You're not understanding what I'm saying. Many Russian people in rural areas, (which is a good portion of the earth's landmass), have never left that time.
Iran will do jack ****! Whatever about the wests reluctance to bomb Moscow they would have no such reluctance about destroying Tehran or Damascus for that matter.
There is about 50 /60 million under the age of 44 living in Russia ,20 million under the age of 18 ,so there is a sizeable number of the population haven't lived in or through harsh times ,the internet/social media generation will suffer the most ,
Not sure how long you've been here, but from what you've seen of Irish people do you think they'd be happy to go back to that time.
And do you know what Gatling? When someone as level headed as you says something like that; along with a party member of the Chinese Communist Party this evening on Channel 4 news saying very similar things , it IS worrying.
If respected boards members on these issues are worried- then me, who knows less of these things is worried too.
I just hope that what we don’t know about the negotiations talks and plans behind the scenes with all countries in the west finds some way to end this. If all there is, in terms of a resolution or a plan from the Wests perspective, is whatever is reported in the media, I’m very worried.
YouTube has blocked Russian state TV channels from uploading any videos to the platform, either in Russia or worldwide, and has also just blocked any Russian companies from placing adverts on the channel.
I think your giving them a lot of credit.
They've been fed a **** sandwich about the west since birth.
