knock it off, the final solution during WW2 is not what was referred to, it was a solution that is final to the Ukraine/Russia debacle thats been dragging on since the dissolution of the USSR, both parties cant keep agreeing non-binding agreements every ten years then one side or the other breaking or making known their intention to break it
They tried ,but they lost several il76 aircraft all of the men aboard earlier on in the first week or so ,
Trying to Land an airborne assault in a hostile country , with no aircover or forces on the ground holding a secure airfield ,poor sods never stood a chance
Oh no! And I would have gotten away with it too if it werent for those darn kids!!!
Yup. If you were anti-mask and/or antivax, now it's time to start going on about nazis in Ukraine, biological research and NATO encroachment. At least that's what I'm seeing so far.
Funny that.
They can't get out because they have nothing to show thus far other than thousands of dead Russian soldiers, 10% of their battle materiel destroyed and Ukraine's government and people still standing strong. Putin now sees this as the survival of Russia. Pulling out would show such weakness and such a failure militarily, that he feels it would not only be personally politically catastrophic but puts Russia at risk. Hence he'll keep the battering ram going no matter how many need to die.
This is why negotiations have been focussed on finding Russia an 'off ramp', to no avail thus far.
"What's wrong with the Chinese and the House of Saud 'integrating' in European countries"
Well one of them has hundreds of concentration camps set up for people they don't like, such as the Uighurs. The other shower will march women out into the town square after their mass on a Friday and literally cut their heads off for being 'witches'.
They should be told that 'what ever way they feel like' can f**k right off if they think they can 'integrate' that diabolical $hit over here
You are confusing “upset” with incredulity that there are so many utterly gullible people around
I don't think they've ever dropped paratroopers into a hostile country. It's one thing dropping them into a communist european country in the 80s to help prop up a friendly administration against protestors. It's another thing entirely to drop into a country where every citizen, even the Russian speakers, hate you and want to kill you.
You could be right. I just wonder if the west will be afraid of a scenario where they make a full economic recovery and then another dictator comes along down the line and there's a renewed threat to the west. I think it's possible they might just put their foot on Russia and keep it there even if Putin is gone.
Has there been any commentary from Gorbachev on this madness……he’s still alive, 91 years young I believe but maybe has ended up like Regan did in his latter years…?
Is that how they described the Chechens that were obliterated?
There is one way Russia can win - depopulation of Ukraine through a combination of mass population exodus and genocide.
44 million people is a lot to remove though and would make the Holocaust look tame.
It’s how the money has been “earned”, not where the people are from
Still it will be cheaper than IIIWW
You seem very engaged by somebody picking up on a very deliberate reference. Almost as if one account makes the post and another account goes into battle on it.
Weird.
When the war ends, and it will end, every pro putin tyrant will be hunted down and they will receive whatever form of justice is deemed suitable.
I did have a good laugh at a pom-pom clad cheerleader for Russia talking about imaginary things.
So this is where all the posters who use to bicker with each other about Covid have gone
These are punishments for the regime. If the regime changes, the sanctions would go. Nobody wants to punish ordinary Russians unnecessarily.
I'm thinking more and more that this is not a 'winnable' war for Russia. Yes, they have a lot of troops, but Ukraine is such an enormous country and they have to maintain a presence in all of the areas they have taken already. As they move further and further inland their supply lines are going to be extremely difficult to defend too. Every step they get closer to the big cities, the smaller and more poorly supplied they become.
Yes, and they have also restated their claim to the Kuril Islands. So the msg is clear to Vladimir.....hands off!!
I hope I misheard that clip before PT ... What was that about deporting Russians not connected to diplomacy?
That's arse over tits surely...
If there were visible signs that the 'regime' was genuinely changing and moving back towards better relations with the West, you could see a lot of sanctions being lifted quickly.
To be honest, it's hard to see how the sanctions can be lifted whilst the tyrant remains in the Kremlin....he has already burned his bridges with the West.
They deployed special forces and airborne assault units , didn't get them far
Russia is totally fcuked and they know it.
They are probably looking for a way out but not able to find one.
Politico: "Biden personally killed Ukraine jet transfer that Blinken green-lit and Poland wanted”
There are a very few 'pro-Russia cheerleaders' popping up in this thread, and they are quickly dispatched by the lad in the tin hat. Most of your 'pro-Russia cheerleaders' are imaginary.
I suspect it's a symptom if people watching the war on telly or on social media from the comfort of their own homes and wanting to fight someone, anyone, just to feel like they're a part of it.
Not to get too off-topic, but isn't it the whole European ideological idea that nations should integrate with others. So in that vein, what's wrong with Saudi or Russian or the Chinese 'integrating' in European countries by whatever way they feel like. And the way is buying up football clubs, high rise apartment blocs in highly sought after expensive areas in London, and so on.
To date the Russians have only deployed their ‘FCA’ equivalent soldiers and equipment……their best/worst is yet to arrive……??
Seems to be a suggestion around new weapons deliveries to Ukraine , including Improved and more capable air defense systems that are significantly better than manpads .
That could be interesting if it happens
