Absolutely, and unless the pregnant women on stretchers were there for the optics only, we have an indication that the hospital was indeed being used as a hospital - I haven't quoted you accidentally DJ, we parted on good terms on that other thread I think : )
It roughly translates as 'Sadistic Military Onslaught', not to be confused with war of aggression.
We still get to hear regular Russian disinformation through Lavrov, Putin and their diplomats.
Hope it hasn't already been posted..
Yes we do. Through approved news outlets.
A lot of people here were calling for RT and the likes to be made harder to access here and at the same time, excused blatant Ukrainian propaganda as necessary.
I'm uneasy with that.
That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.
I will listen to what RT have to say and everyone else for that matter but only after Russia has ceased its operation and left Ukraine. In fact I would be advising the Ukrainian delegation at these talks to tell lavrov and his cronies not to bother turning up the next day unless they have putins head in a bag!
Cool. I just disagree with you
Both sides yeah?
And yet here you are, sitting behind your keyboard bizarrely only promoting Russian propaganda. Seriously odd that.
To be fair, Russia has the best experts in diplomatic...

Were you very pleased that some idiot hit the Russian embassy with his truck?
Leo Varadkar called it 'foolish and unhelpful'.
It depends on what your stance is on this illegal invasion. Western countries were slow to react to the invasion, I suspect that's because many of the western countries thought the government would collapse and with it the defence of the country. No point getting into a diplomatic bunfight or sending millions in munitions if it was going to be thrown away. It's as vital for the survival of Ukraine that people see their determination and successes as it is for them to actually have determination and success. It keeps the supplies and aid flowing and may just tip things in their favour. On the other side, Russia chose to invade another sovereign nation and inflict massive casualties, they have a very strong motive to deceive people on the reasons for this and particularly about the results of it. So I can say right now I am in no way uneasy about this at all.
I disagree.
I am able to be appalled and horrified by russian actions and still be uneasy with only "approved" propaganda being allowed.
It was a completely idiotic thing to do, but the ambassador needs to get a sense of perspective, it isn't like thousands of people died and millions of refugees created because of it.
Information warfare is an important part of any war and the Russians are failing miserably at it. Their usual deception, whataboutery from useful idiots on social media etc is just failing massively this time. People have become immune to it.
The UK home secretary has said Britain will ease its rigid entry requirements for Ukrainian refugees, meaning those with passports can apply for entry online and only have to give biometric details when they are in the UK.
Really had to be beaten into that!
I am not promoting Russian propaganda, I am promoting critical thinking.
Accepting everything from the Ukraine side without question is extremely dangerous. Fake news about bombed hospitals and other such nonsense could very well rile people up enough to bring NATO into this war.
But it isn't a war is it? Lavrov said they aren't invading Ukraine. I am getting very confused at this point.
There are journalists from numerous countries and all walks of life reporting direct from the conflict, I doubt many people are watching Ukrainian state TV and even if they were there's a huge amount of independent journalism out there. People can still get Russian disinfo from some Indian and Chinese broadcasters, if that's their bag. But we know for certain that Russian broadcasters can be imprisoned if they try to be impartial, other Russian media outlets have been closed down.
No idea what Joe Duffy again has to do with it, 3rd time you have mentioned him. 😕
The renaming of streets where Russian Embassies are globally is an act of solidarity with Ukraine.
The Albanians were the first to do it citing the following reasons.
Solidarity
Annoy the Kremlin
It would lower moral of the people working in them.
It's already working
In a statement on Wednesday, the Russian Embassy in Oslo said the move would be “regarded as an anti-Russian action, whether by the government or the district authorities. Norwegians should consider this
It's these acts and 1000s like them which have forced governments and corporations to act practically.
It's an absolute fact.
No amount sneering saddos is going change that.
Twitter is about the only source of information in this thread.
When did it become anyway credible?
Germany’s former chancellor Gerhard Schroeder is meeting Russian president Vladimir Putin in Moscow today for talks on ending the war in Ukraine.
Schroeder’s Moscow visit followed talks in Istanbul with a Ukrainian politician who is a member of the country’s delegation for peace talks with Russia.
Ah, thats ok then , invasion of another country and bombing of hospitals is perfectly fine
We're well beyond the point of "danger". There is a war. It has to be won. Both for Ukraine and for everybody else. If it is not won, all bets are off as regards the basic freedoms we enjoy in the west and we will be left with a fully Nazified Russia in close alliance with a fully Nazifying China.
For the last 20 years the "low risk" options have always been, in reality, the high risk ones. There is no situation now which carries no risk. That's the situation the west is in because it listened to the snake oil merchants like Mearsheimer.
It's high time Russia was reminded that the west has nuclear weapons too and is prepared to use them on Russia if necessary.
There's a basic truth here that the professional anti-war movement has never understood, and it is paradoxical. If you don't threaten war, you will get war. That's where we are. We're getting genocide because we didn't threaten war. War wouldn't have happened if we had done so.
Joachim Von Ribbentrop will never be dead, as long a Lavrov lives
In terms of information it's pretty useful as its instant nature is perfect for swift updates but as a discussion forum it's a sewer.
more like
But but but both sides.
F*ck off
"Dutch diplomats did not deny their country’s stance but insisted that Germany and other countries shared their position as well as the Netherlands’ view that any reference to Article 49 and formal membership for Ukraine would further provoke Russian President Vladimir Putin."
Please define 'Fully Nazified'.
UK government is seizing assets from Jewish billionaires because they are apparently Putin's top people.
One of the mistakes people made when listening to the Manic Street Preachers song "If You Tolerate This" is that they thought it was an Anti-War song.
We tolerated it, because we (the west) got cheap gas/grain. And there is no going back now. All bets are off for at least a generation, as the Russians can't be trusted.
