Then again this is a country where so little makes sense ...just a few examples ...

• United Ireland project - at great trouble and expense bring in nearly a million people we don't even like against their will
• spend countless millions trying to spread a ramshackle language that is neither needed or wanted
• expect 'world-class' services while not wanting to raise the taxes to fund them
• Not pay modest charges to provide potable water and repair environment
• Irish 'socialists' against property tax 😂
• Let defence capacity run down and depend on others to aid us in a crisis ..etc.

Apart from that -great little country though.
