New regulations new season....
Can redbull keep up the pace
I dont know the reason why Haas is going with K-Mag. This is an entirely new car which he has no experience of. They should have been looking forward to the future and signed on a young promising driver. But maybe they do have a solid reason to bringing him back...
They're not a Hamilton fan club by any means. Quite unbiased with good coverage of teams down the grid as well. A spin-off of a Dutch site, with a Belgian/South African editor and an Irishman hosting their podcasts.
he has experience with the team knows how they work etc, that can be said for all drivers it’s a new car for everyone and I’m sure he won’t manage to finish 21st in a 20 driver championship
He's Back. Fok Smash My Door. He can Fok off!
Now, before you say the obvious. The reason there's only 18 out of 20 drivers here is because obviously Magnussen has only just learned he's driving and hasn't arrived, and Hamiltons flight got delayed so he also wasn't on site when the photo was taken.
I wonder how Mick Schumacher will do against Magnussen? I think Magnussen will come out on top which will be bad for Schumacher as Magnussen is an average enough driver.
The fact that he completely misread it and thought he's being sacked for being Russian, rather than being the son of a major putin backer didn't cast him in the best light
Both mazepin are on the sanction list. Seems they prepaid sponsorship and now want their money back.
Good luck with that.

From what I've seen/read, he was awful to deal with, no loss. As someone said, he finished 21st in a 20 racer series. Bye bye.
I suppose they all have no experience of the new car but in fairness Magnussen has something like 18 top 10 finishes for Haas. Experienced driver, knows the team, has scored points every season etc etc. Haas were all about this season so you'd assumed they'd have built a some what decent car that would be capable of the odd points finish and not just prop up the back of the grid. I think Magnussen in a decent car would still be well able to finish with a decent result
I think mazepin was a pig to deal with and basically held the team to ransom..... Car is too heavy. I want a new chassis. We will stop the money til I get it.
No team boss wants to be dealing with that from a new to the sport driver and his handlers.
I'd imagine he was dealt with in a manner that matched his own behaviour.
He is no loss.
Delighted to see K Mag back. He is pretty quick on track and never afraid to tell it how it is.
Have the testing on here, Haas have a lovely new livery! White red and black! It’s amazing the difference a lick of paint can make
And the whole field sighs as they we probably enter another period of Mercedes dominance.
If the gains are as big as the rumours suggest then we're in for an intra Mercedes championship battle at best.
Big part of me hopes it's a disaster and they have to start from scratch.
Are teams seriously thinking of driving with that scaffolding on the cars
Was looking into Austria, as I live about a 4 hour drive away. Looks like its virtually sold out already, not even General Admission tickets available. There is still some available at T3, but for €400 😨 now thinking of waiting until 2023 instead!
I often think when one team goes so far left field like this it’s because they weren't getting what they were initially trying to achieve, and took a gamble because they don’t know what else to do!
Surely another team would have looked at it during development too
Here it is:
Much better than the red/white/blue...
On another note, Lewis has the luminous strip on his antenna, he’s surely not the second driver this year is he?
If there are any avgeeks on this thread they’ll recognise it immediately😝
They're there to measure the airflow over the cars, not for actual racing
Maybe so. The article said they've asked for loads of clarification from the FIA so they might have found a Brawne double defuser for 2022.
I hope it doesn't work, obviously. Anything except another uncompetitive season.
I hate to say it, but the Rich Energy livery was the nicest of the Haas liveries.
Everyone is talking about the Merc having "no sidepods", but really it seems they're more like inverted sidepods? Like the vent is still there, it's just that now it's wide at the bottom and tapers into the top instead of the other way 'round.
I prefer the 2017 look myself.
I will also say this, while it sucks that Lewis Hamilton is the benefactor of the work, I have a lot of admiration and respect to the designers and engineers at Mercedes-Benz for actually doing a bit of thinking, trying out new approaches and in general pushing the boat out. Now, if the FIA could bring in a rule that all teams blueprints are fair game 6 races after introduction then that might help close any big development gaps.
Sorry for the daily mail sharing, but late career Seb is a classy mother fucker.
Between him and Alonso, they're all out of f**ks
The cars certainly look and sound much better this year. Plus they look much harder to drive as well. Should see more mistakes this year
I see that Haas former sponser is seeking repayment lol.
Uralkali is seeking repayment of the sponsorship money it gave the team, calling the termination “unreasonable” and saying “sports should always be free of politics and pressure from external factors”.
Some hope of that. Personally I hope Haas do not give it back to them. Though ****.
