€1.50 this morning for 1000 liters, told them put in 400 worth. Things are going to get serious of this keeps up. All digger work on hold now until see how this plays out.
Self feed silage pit. Feed young stock high quality bales or out on kale. Catch crop after your compulsory tillage is another option but if we get a nuclear winter, well then we’re proper fooked.
Have enough diesel to do me for another few weeks
Anyone any predictions what the diesel price might be like by mid April ?
surely the daily 5cent raises can’t keep up 😅😅
Could be rationed by April, maybe it's already happening to sum extent with max litres at anyone drop.if they stop buying Russian oil, will make matters worse.
Russian oil only makes up 25% of world's oil. How does losing a quarter of supply cause such mayhem
If you need diesel take the hit and order enough to keep going but don't be waiting for a sudden price drop. Even if the War ended tomorrow it'll still take a while for the price to come back down especially if fuel distributors are holding expensive stock. Plus as mentioned above there is a real risk we could see fuel rationing this year
We are seeing it now
Not looking great so 😅😅
Had to get 500l kero today, 1.36, driver said it was going up 12c tonight and maybe again during the week. He reckons there’s plenty of fuel in the country and it’s all panic buying driving up the price, there’s no shortage with the crowd he works for
Max green diesel delivery is 300 litres with my supplier
It's panic buying at every level though, demand is already out stripping supply and now the biggest exporters in the world is going to be out of the supply chain.panic is justified in this case.
Being 2-3% short would cause mayhem...
Price rises until demand drops. If everyone keeps buying, price keeps rising.
Anyone that bought a tank of diesel in the past week.
The excise might come down but the volume won't go up. Most places 500litres max, some at 300litres. The raw product is not there.
They still will have got it cheaper. Green is gone to €1.75/litre now
Wtf.where.
The contractor will surely be expecting the cheque on the day this year.
You'd be a hard man to deny him if he asked. Some ball of money tied up in dinosaur juice and expecting him to stomach it.
Picked up some green at the pump earlier, €1.30
Have never been asked to sign for it anywhere, never even heard of it happening before comments above. Surely if it was revenue related every station would need to be asking for signatures.
I looked on Corrib oil it has gone up again today. Can't get a quote from TopOil unless you ring them in the morning and then they ring you back when they are ready to take your order with the price!
I won't I'll make sure I have it.
Tough times for him no doubt as well and big money tied up.
They might just be trying to frighten off chancers. If it was official you would need PPS etc
2 cent!!! Ffs why bother, it's an insult and giving the 2 fingers to farmers again.
green government.
Wonder will Eamon Ryan tell us less tractor revs to lower fuel consumption.
We need another beast from the east to have leverage over that corrupt government and work together to get results. We should have been making demands not clearing roads for the shower of b######
Don't kid yourself that it is all the greens, FG and FF don't exactly have much time for Agriculture, same across the Western world and at EU level.
Wonder how much extra grain will be planted now that the green is down 2cent... I doubt the rolling drumlins of Cavan will be turning golden in the autumn unless its from a drout
Slow down says Eamon Ryan. Spare the diesel and shop around. That will cure the price rise alright. If I had known that my local Fianna fail TD was going to Dublin supporting these farm bashers. I would have cut my fingers off before voting for him. Can it be long now before a few rats will start jumping off the sinking ship
I suppose we shouldn't be surprised, Martin, Ryan or Varadkar would not be able to locate the diesel tank on a tractor.
