Far from pro Russian.
But I see only two options: peace, no matter how messy, or the west has to get militarily involved. What's happening now is just the slow death of Ukraine for nothing, because it is going to be destroyed the way things are going.
I thought it was his mic? Zelenskyy trolling him was excellent
Putin is over. He's after making the biggest mistake in his life. Yes, many ordinary Russians support him but when the economic sanctions really start to kick in and hyperinflation becomes a reality, they'll change their minds very quickly.
Russians (mainly urbanites) are heading for a world of pain. Most of them don't know it yet.
What's interesting is that Putin is toast. He's done and dusted. There's no coming back for him now. How will he go or be taken out? That's anyone's guest.
It effects the ordinary people, ok have the pregnancies in Russia get aborted and they have a generation who don't know anything but creature comforts and social media ,
They will be the one's taking to the streets
You're retweeting far right (and pro-Putin) Twitter accounts here.
Do you have a link to that, a chara?
Ok and let's not talk about the Wuhan lab and....
What are you talking about?
Meanwhile European purchase of oil, according to the guardian, is still giving the Russian war machine 285 million dollars every day. A few less cans of Pepsi are not going to solve the problem, it's all show
It's more so for those with money (your worth has been cut in half and you can't even protect against future devaluation) than the average man
Putins teapot showed he was in an empty room with no trolley dollies
You've said this twice.... What are you implying
Bio labs in Ukraine under threat
Also China on this
Putin likes to kiss boys on their belly because he is definitely not a paedophile.
Grooming the Russian federation now it seems.
The same logic as those who said South African rugby teams should have been welcomed around the world during the apartheid era.
There were plenty of such people back then and they are remembered as the filthy scabs they were.
Some of the Russian troll farms must be working overtime so they can afford a loaf of bread tomorrow. Meanwhile in a democracy of Ireland, we are still going strong. Not that Ireland doesn't have its own faults.
I see.
But why would this be considered a "breaking point" - and breaking point for whom or what?
Putin has great support in his bunker from all those woman dressed like flight attendants...who looked delighted to be there...and also had to be moved closer to him using special effects....lol.
A real man of the people...
It’ll accelerate the collapse of the rubble
but there will be foreign currency black markets
It's not for nothing.. that racing drivers father owned the company that sponsored the team and also visited Putin three days AFTER the invasion started!! He is good friends with him!
Interesting revelation this evening that far more refugees fled westwards from the Donbass region towards Europe than into Russia itself. So much for these shysters being "liberators" and bringing them freedom.
It's an effort to prevent the dollarization or euroization of the economy - it's a signal that the rouble is effectively worthless and they are attempting to prevent the dollar or euro from becoming a primary medium of exchange in the domestic economy. A similar phenomenon was happening in Turkey over the new year (though not due to sanctions, more down to vanilla economic mismanagement). Interest rates through the roof and anyone holding roubles rushing towards the exit gates to get foreign currency as some store of value.
It would be really interesting if the Russian embassy on Orwell Rd. was to see the "light" tonight. 🌚
Drinks only, they will continue with food, dairy etc
Looks to me like they will only be reduced to last weeks prices.
Guessing here but people wanting to take their money out of the banks in whatever currency, dollar etc, now can't (and an ever devaluing Ruble) while keeping stronger currencies for the government to use
Would it be more acceptable to you if you found him attractive?
Pretty sure he's committed to negotiation and peace, but the Russians need to come to negotiations with agreeable terms. He's not the one who started this damn war. Given the preparations we've seen around Ukraine, people are not just willing to lay down and accept Russian occupation. War's a nasty business, with realities quite unimaginable to many of us, but those people have a right to fight for their country if they want to, even if the battle could be one-sided.
What are people in Russia thinking when their country becomes more like North Korea every day? They do realise these sanctions and boycotts are probably permanent until the dictator is removed from office, right?
