He had a certain fan base here and some weren't gone on him.
He disappeared very fast last year and now he's about to sue Twitter.
Like I have already stated she only admitted to what could be easily debunked anyway.
I don't believe any reasonable commentator should or could give any credence to the original anonymous post which was to remain anonymous and designed with only one intention and one intention only.
You seem to think that just because she admitted to these easily verifiable lies everything else is true.
I think that's bonkers.
He can say to her that if she doesn't provide such a letter, he will include her in a High Court defamation lawsuit. Although that option might not be available to him since the first letter was probably provided on the basis of 'provide the letter and I wont' sue you'. All guesswork on my part as none of us know the details.
Nope, she categorically stated several times she was 16, it was even in the title of her post.
Oh I know Dav. I'm coming from the angle that if he wants to pursue a career in the spotlight again there might be uncomfortable questions that will be asked. Apart from that if he wants to go work in Tesco or collect bins etc then he should be left alone.
Hahaha, thats a first. Someone conceding an argument because they can't back up their point of view. Fair play.
Well he could have said he would bring her to court and have her named. That would be quite a lot of leverage.
probably relevant if he wanted to pursue a career in teaching or something along those lines, probably not so relevant for being a DJ
But how does he prove it - its his word against hers and as was stated in the letter - there is a fundamental disagreement between the two of them about their relationship. She's an admitted liar and no doubt would have no qualms about lying in court about what happened when it's impossible to prove otherwise.
Cheers, thanks for that.
Ah it is. Especially with his specialist knowledge and his agenda around woke and metoo.
If that were the case why didn't she just keep saying she was under the age of consent.
Presumably, because she wasn’t.
Because that could be proven to be false. Her other allegations can't be proven true or false because it's her word against McDermott's.
Of course they could. From memory she said that they went to a concert, then he brought her back to his workplace and forced himself on her. I'm sure the radio building would have key fobs etc. which would show who entered and what rooms were entered. The date of the gig would be available online and found quite easily.
So they could prove he was in a building on a certain date?
Yeah. It would prove if the fob he was assigned was used on the night in question and what rooms he'd entered with it.
You reckon that data from 10 years ago would be still available. Good luck with that. Fobbing into the building wouldn't prove/disprove much either to be honest.
He hasn't denied the bulk of the content from the account his one gave. Only that she was over 16 and he didn't have family in AGS which he did. She also retracted third party allegations against him.
Eoghan didn't deny she was a school child and 16 when he instigated contact. I'd imagine that part is accurate and he is conscious that if he denies that there maight be evidence or witness that state differently. The retraction of her being under the age of consent is the best he could do.
I would think getting her to admit that she was the age of consent was the most important part. Doesnt matter if she was a school girl
It's extremely damaging to a fella like him that he was chasing after a school child. If he were an electrician, shopkeeper or farmer not so much. But he called out men on toxic masculinity. He told us we should do better. Drove the metoo, woke, cancelling agenda.
This whole relationship he had with a school child at 27 is toxic.
Hugely important for his career that he clarifies what exactly went on. He doesn't have to of course. It's his career.
Could you take his woke virtue signalling views seriously after this? That was his routine.
But did he do anything that is related to toxic masculinity? Did he do anything that was related to the metoo movement?
Yes. They are the allegations which haven't been retracted or denied. Kevin Spacey being an extreme example here of course. Afaik he didn't confess or admit to any allegations.
I'd be wary of any man who holds that opinion, and you're not alone in this thread. Weird and creepy.
Im not a man.
Bubbly i find that even stranger but it's my opinion only, and you're entitled to yours and to think my stance is odd and creepy ! But i wouldn't let my daughters near EMD or plenty of people in this thread
Look at the Paris Hilton segment he done. And the Catherine Thomas routine he did where he planet a kiss on her lips. In this day and age its all relevant to the metoo cheerleading he was doing.
But he has denied her claims - the letter also states that the woman accepts that McDermott “fundamentally disputes our client’s version of events of what occurred between them during the course of their relationship”.
She admitted that she was the age of consent when they had a physical relationship. It didn't clear up a) if he initiated contact pre-17 and b) the content of messages sent pre-17 if they were messaging.
I just don't think it's anyone's business who a 17 year old is having sex with.
I find it a bit weird and creepy that posters are so obsessed with calling her a schoolchild, and making her sound young. would it be ok if she was 17 and in college? Or 18 and in school?
I think a 17 year old is legally allowed to decide for themselves if they want to have sex. it's their business.
I know some 17 year old girls and they are not adults, and would be easily coerced by a 27 year old celebrity male. Your stance is really really bizzare to me, especially from a woman. I'd rather not engage with you again to be honest.
