You know what I mean, the whole "I'll nuke if the west gets involved" is all hot air.
Wouldn't ever tire of punching that smug little face. Prick.
I was thinking the same, given the woeful lack of flank security by the Russians...so bad that the guy with the RPG could stand upright and take careful aim. Still, a kill is a kill.
The answer is partly corruption, but also partly that the budget is spread far too thin as well.
Russia has a similar budget to several countries which don't have a fraction of the sheer volume of material the Russian armed forces do.
Maintenance, logistics, storage, would be a huge drain. They'd be far, far better off with a drastically reduced and professional military with a focus on training, quality and technology.
It's a paper strong army but the quality of everything from equipment and training to leadership and combined action is incredibly weak.
Look at something like North Korea for an extreme example. Thousands of tanks and IFV's and a million soldiers despite a tiny budget....but they're all hopelessly outdated and would be obliterated in a one-sided turkey shoot in an actual war with South Korea.
Ecumenical matter here
A vehicle has been smashed into the gates of the Russian embassy in Dublin. Will keep ye posted ( as soon as I clear away the broken glass!)
Two twitter comments that need highlighting 😁
It's not a crash, it's a "Special Vehical Operation".
Has Ireland now technically invaded Russia?
Watching Eurovision-style videos of young Russians parading this Z symbol is depressing I must say...
Thoughts and prayers
I understand the emotion (again), but I don't think that's very smart. There's a time and place for acting on impulse.
I assume the embassy is under constant electronic surveillance? Wouldn't be surprised (or at all pissed off) if we have invited private British or U.S. security companies in to help in that regard. Protesting outside is well and good, but in terms of the big picture isn't it smarter to just leave the embassy there and tap into their communications where possible? If the Russians pull out, claiming that their lives are in danger, we lose that opportunity to snoop on what they are up to.
Its not helpful - although the caption for this is fairly obvious
OOOPS
Yes but potentially Ukraine's armed forces could be equipped and trained by NATO/EU to deter any future aggression. I can't imagine Russia would agree to terms at this point when Ukraine was theoretically about as unprepared as it could be only to engage in another ground war somewhere down the road after it has had additional time to properly prepare a very motivated population.
Special Haulage Delivery Operations
Russia is getting worked.
I am only half kidding when I say I half suspect they wheel their handful of operational SU-34s and such, into a hangar and change the tail numbers and such, before wheeling it back out again to be seen, counted and feared.
That is exactly the goal
This is part of the russian psychological warfare knowing that Europeans in particular still cannot get a certain symbol out of their memory for soon to be a 100 years.
Let's hope the Embassy can't find anyone willing to repair them.
I honestly think any contractor wouldnt want to be identified by having their repair vans parked outside.
Its will be Putins and Russias graveyard, They are now fighting the whole world
I don't get why were are all worried about how Russia feels about stuff we should be giving them and Putin the middle finger and letting Ukraine join NATO.
Give Russia the warning then and time to withdraw it's troops or anything left in the Ukraine after that time will be considered hostile targets and destroyed.
I think this whole soft , don't upset Putin approach is what got us in this mess in the first place his already declared war, we should be letting him have it with both barrells not talking him down.
Don't know what took them so long 😐️

This is us wanting to be in communion with Russia, 'take this bread all of you and... I hope you're gluten intolerant!!!'
Negotiating with the Russians right now is a fool's errand. Let them keep talking, sure, but they're just throwing **** out right now, they don't know what they're at themselves.
Any Russian input in what's left of Ukraine has to be rejected out of hand. It seemingly needs to be restated that the Ukrainians are fighting not just for pride or nationality but because they know what the Russians want to do and they want no part of it. The Russians can't be treated as honest actors or negotiating in good faith. They're offering civilian corridors into Russia, they're still having a laugh FFS.
Ah we're totally going on Russian watch list. Lol
Some numbers on what weaponry has been sent to Ukraine.
Stop trying to drag this off-topic, please.
JOKING ASIDE
They should not have done that
We will now
We can all have a laugh, yes. But this was a stupid thing to do
imho
There putting up a good fight but those numbers are tiny when you consider Russia have 12,000 tanks and 30,000 armored vehicles. I don't think the Russian army is anyway brilliant but the sheer mass of the Russian army leads to only one outcome.
