Global supplies of wheat and fertilizer were screwed the moment they rolled into Ukraine. Regardless of sanctions they were increasing gas prices while reducing output for months beforehand. Russia were already turning the screws for recession as it was, it just turns out that they completely fucked their assessment of how an invasion would go and now we have a crop and fertilizer shortage on top of sanctions.

This whole war started because Putin decided that an independent and democratic Country should not have the right to make their own decisions about their future, and I support that right as well, and that includes them deciding on what to do regarding the war, continue or make a deal ( surrender??? ) I'm pretty sure that they can make intelligent decisions themselves / Slava Ukraine.

Not much has come out about the flurry of diplomatic activity over the weekend with the Israeli PM meeting Putin then the German chancellor.
Israel PM spokesman did say that during the meeting, Putin was “not conspiracy theorizing or irrational, nor is he suffering from rage attacks.”
However, he also said that Putin made it clear to Bennett that he is unwilling to end hostilities until Ukraine demilitarizes, saying that Moscow’s position is: “until there is dialogue, hostilities [will continue].”
Russia conveyed to Israel via diplomatic channels that it is deliberately not targeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, even though it knows where he is, reportedly with the aim of capturing him alive.
Basically the Russians are coming out with all sorts of contradictory statements compared to their actions. Either it's deliberate and coordinated, or there's a bit of chaos in military and political ranks. Given how poorly they're executing the war, I'd guess it's the latter.
