Yep we would. For all thier faults and they have more than enough in their history, today they're a democratic European nation and while ground troops would be in play in such a scenario I'd be beyond shocked if they started throwing nukes around. I can't recall them threatening the Scotish nationalists with nukes or a 'peacekeeping mission'.
It does demonstrate how dangerous a single person can be to a government and how careful we have to be when seeking to install an anti-establishment candidate
A lot of Russian planes taking off apparently, might be a long night for the Ukrainians
Because out of the very positive aspects of various peace movements there also came the notion that war is never justified. And lord knows there have been enough proxy wars and land grabs like this one, but sometimes the only solution to idiots willy waving with guns is to put non idiots with guns between them, or making sure they put the guns down.
North Korea/Russia
I spoke with a follower of Mick Wallace. The follower is anti-everything. He said that I was war-mongering by stating that we should support the Ukrainians to fight back. He said that war is never justified, as it leads to the bloodshed of the innocents. I asked him his view on the Allies defeating the Nazis. He said that war is never justified. I have been too disgusted to speak with him since. He is the kind of person who speaks about what a good person he is. But when push comes to shove, he is unbelievably selfish in every domain of his life.
Why would you say that
The Maori went to New Zealand a few generations before the English, they came across a society that was Agrarian, no interest in war.
It didn't work out well.
sounds like ukranians preparing to surrender soon .. alot of talk of non-nato models for its future up for discussion in exchange for terrotorial integrity .. not sure will that even work for putin he seems to be obsessed with "de-nazification" of country as well.. i.e. regime change very hard to appease a dictator
Why would Putin stop at Ukraine?
When a killer gets the thrill of the first kill, he doesn’t stop there
Sure under the UKs current guise we could vote ourselves out. If the same rules applied as in 1916 we'd be going nowhere.
word on the street is Syria is importing ship loads of barrel bombs into Crimea for the Russians to drop out of their helicopters onto civilians in Ukraine
Not long after the invasion started, 4-5 days maybe, a soft skinned convoy was completely destroyed. It contained civil order / crowd control / policing units. Their deployment was a bit premature....
Romania looks like it is in a precarious position after the latest pronouncements from the Gremlin
😬
2.0 ltr petrol engine doing 50 Klms / ltr????
Sorry. I Googled the figures for a rough calculation and completely botched it. I won’t trust Dr Google again (I bus it everywhere and don’t drive)
Fair f*cks to the Germans
Absolutely disgusting thing to say. Nonsense.
I reckon he will try take Moldova, very vulnerable once Ukraine falls which eventually it will unless someone intervenes.
Says who?
Well they did vote with them at the UN so it's not a surprise they claim support from them.
Their crazy machinations involving the assault of a nuclear plant and Putin’s posturing makes me think that the Gremlin is keen to escalate the conflict
Something that really pisses me off about the coverage of this conflict is how the main stream media report on thousands of dead but are too **** sensitive to show it.
They are essentially sanitising a war because they don't or can't broadcast the reality of it.
That's a very bad thing, because people don't realise, beyond the standard tear jerk humanitarian stories, what is actually going on.
Consequently, it doesn't hit home that this is disgusting and dirty and real. Guts hanging out, dismembered limbs, people drowning on their own blood. Many of the regular posters on this thread seem to think this is just a movie.
Even when a news crew was attacked in their car, all they allowed to be heard was 'beeeep, beeeep, beeeep, journalist, beeeep'
People are being killed and our media won't even broadcast swear words.
That should mean an escalation to military intervention by NATO.
Why? Moldova isn't in NATO either.
It's not a NATO member as far as I know
It's absurd.
An alleged FSB whistle-blower letter (here)was published that damned Russia's military performance in Ukraine and predicted a disaster for the RU in the next weeks and months.
Here is a thread of the translation of the analysis by the active FSB analyst. It is interesting, but it Twitter after the all

That's more down to the regulators than the media. They'd love to show everything I'm pretty sure rather than watching the same talking heads on loop ala Sky News
