Whatever about the army and weapons they have now I can only imagine what they'll have once they rid themselves of the russians. They'll move from 22nd largest army to 7th or 8th. Their army reserve will number in the millions. Their hardware will be all Eurpean and American. Russia will never come near them again, NATO or no NATO.

Well in fairness, they endured several months of NATO bombing, where a fairly respectable attempt to bomb them back to the stone age was made, and in the not too distant past either. And the only support they got was from Russia. Maybe this has influenced them?
We don’t know that he is insane, his threat of nuclear war is a sign of vulnerability and weakness. You would only use them in the face of total defeat.
