I did not expect Ukranian resistance and fight back to be so successful. I've heard of a counter offensive in places.

Just a guess, but if Russia sign up to some sort of ceasefire/withdrawal etc, then the chances are one of the demands will be to un-freeze assets taken.

After this is over the sanctions should only begin to lift once Putin is gone and reparations have been put in place to rebuild Ukraine and compensate the families of those who died. Theres be thousands of single mothers in Ukraine after this who will not only have lost their partner but also the main bread winner. This should cost Russia trillions.
The nuclear facilities were hit before going live. No radiation. I'm not sure how Iraq and Syria having nukes would have increased peace, but if you say so.

Really? I'm sitting here watching the premier league, they have a Ukrainian flag in the bottom corner. Websites, tv channels etc with Ukrainian flags. Now I support Ukraine and am 100% against the invasion but was there Iraqi flags everywhere when they were getting slaughtered?

If nuclear power stations had existed in the Soviet Union during World War 2, not even the Wehrmacht would have bombed them because they, unlike the Russians, would have had the sense to know what the destruction of a nuclear reactor would lead to.
