How is that an escalation when Russia is currently shelling a nuclear power station ,
When does the world step in ?
According to Putin apologists one of the main purposes of thos whole operation has been to safeguard ethnic Russians in Crimea and Donetsk. Look who is due south and due east of Enerhodar
I've seen a report that some of the reactors are actually shut down due to the war. So that's good news. Hopefully reduces the chances of a monumentous fcuk up.
Some good news
We all know there are issues with the increasing wealth inequality that is built into the markets know best model of "the West", but it's really eye-opening to see the quislings in the European far-left and the US far-right trying to make excuses for this unfolding human tragedy. Blaming NATO, the EU, "liberalism" etc.
The camera get taken out?
Somebody is moving the camera's
Wonder why, maybe Russians have secured the CCTV room
Oh please, will you stop..
No one here wants escalation but what is happening is insanity and no one stopping it.
We are all now at risk even in little auld Ireland so get real...
I would suggest you look up the word 'escalation'.
Yes, Russia is escalating things, NATO bombing them escalates things even further, do you not get that?
Seems like it's just being moved? Still streaming here.
All ears as to what your proposal is?
Never thought I would be grateful for our sh!tty mid-Atlantic muck of weather.....
I'm assuming that when the Soviets designed the safety systems of these reactors, they didn't factor in an attack by the Russian army?
And what happens if / when nuclear radiation starts spreading across Russia ( and other Country's? ) will they blame the inexperienced troops?
When you look at the trajectory of this c*nt's career, he'll go down as one of the worst humans to ever have lived. Somebody in Russia should have stopped him dead in his tracks a long time ago.
Where are all the Russian patriots? The name of Russia will be dirt for a generation or more unless someone within the country takes him out.
There would be a sizable body of opinion out there that Putin has already activated the Nuclear option....
Going off Google maps, the reactor is very close and just to the left of where the camera is fixed. And the building immediately in front of the camera was hit a few times during the assault on the building that is on fire.
Russia claimed to have taken control of the power plant on February 28th. The Ukrainians denied this. On March 3rd, there was a build up of heavy weapons in the area and it was speculated that the Russians were going to shell urban areas within Russia in some false flag operation. Shelling the power plant and blaming the Ukrainian forces for the outcome would not be out of the question in their propaganda war.
They might have.... Soviet paranoia and all that lol
I think the camera stream is lacking bandwidth. The operator appears to be trying to give a broader view of the plant.
My guess is they may have disrupted communication and it’s dropped to a mobile signal back up.
The cost of NATO not getting involved might have become moot at this stage. If we're not irradiated by the morning, they are going to have to step in, the consequences of inaction are now obvious
...
according to Andrey Tuz, spokesman of the press service of the nuclear power plant, there is no threat of radiation spread.
Soviet designs were actually very lacking in safety systems - RMBK type reactors used at Chernobyl (this isn’t that type) didn’t even have a containment building. They just had a big concrete lid.
Western designs since quite early on have used a concept of placing the reactors and the primary coolant loop inside a containment structure that’s designed to be able to withstand an explosion and also protect the reactors from an external attack like a plane crash or weapons attack. Newer designs often are very conservative with multiple containment systems and structures.
These VVER reactors have similar design features.
The big risk is a fire that screws up controls or a loss of site power.
There are people running around like crazy.
Think people need to relax here.
Stop panicking.
Yep, he's been hiding in plain sight all along. I saw a Russian writer saying today he is much, much worse than people like Khrushchev and Brezhnev.....they were almost peaceful in comparison.
It is crazy.
And it’s bizzare.
Did they not say that in 1986?
