Yes but is that where the AZ 5 button is housed
What the fcuk is going on with the Power plant. Things are getting lit up all over the place.
This is absolutely mad. Who is firing an auto Canon at a nuclear plant!!
Who in their right mind has live ammunition being fired at a huge nuclear power facility.
They got 200 of the Netherlands last week
Apparently the fire is in an administrative building. From the camera angle and reports on Twitter.
Until someone more knowledgeable comes along I'll say it's not impossible, as the problem has happened before if only briefly:
[There might have been] an extraordinarily short burst of mutual wiping out of first-line equipment, leaving the armies dependent on quite simple weapons—a return to an earlier phase of warfare. We had that in 1914: all the sides had gone to war with stocks quite inadequate for the scale of the fighting that took place, and there was then the famous “winter pause” which was partly to lick their wounds. … and very much to gear up the shell factories. Because the inventory of weapons is so much larger [it would have been] a pause for the replacement of almost everything: tanks, aircraft, missiles, missile launchers, armoured vehicles of all sorts. … Sir John Keegan, military historian.
(WAR, Gwynne Dyer)
What difference sanctions make will, I suppose, depend on how much foreign currency is required and where the raw materials are.
Imagine if WW3 was started because the Russians knocked Pornhub offline.
In the current situation nobody can rule anything out at the moment , including putin going nuclear or Nato getting involved ,they already said they and the US were providing the Ukrainian military with real time intelligence , despite Putins threats and NATO saying they will only defend Nato countries
Yes and Russian storage conditions would not be very good so alot would be in worse condition than equivalent aged equipment in Britain or the US. Huge extremes of temperature too.
I just cant see the west or Nato getting involved (well apart from supplying arms to Ukraine).
The risks are just too high and even when Putin inevitably starts ramping up bombing civilians, the west still wont get involved.
However it would be a completely different story if a Nato country was attacked by Russia, all bets would be off. NATO would have to defend the territory otherwise NATO would be finished. I dont think it would lead to a nuclear war though, even in the event of Russia and NATO engaging directly, it would end up with Russia withdrawing and unless NATO decide to invade Russia I cant see why it would lead to a nuclear end of the world scenario.
Why have they no stingers
If they had gamne over on those armored vehicles.
can somebody email the guy in charge or give him a call to tell him about the fires in the nuclear plant?
So, news from external sources must have been seeping in...and its effects has Putin in worried. Good.
It does deteriorate over time ,
Alot of bright flashes on that camera now and smoke.
More explosions, very worrying
Ye can forget about NATO crossing into Ukraine to help. The only way NATO is getting involved is if Putin rolls across a NATO border
Like everything in this conflict, I'll wait on verification, but it's a serious WTF moment when you step back and think about the fact there's artillery or whatever in proximity to a nuclear power plant. And in Ukraine of all countries. For f*ck sake.
Well they know they would be crushed previously so keep the head down. But if the military is significantly weakened by Ukraine then they'll all have a go.
I'm am sure Russian people are seeing their TV/Radio being shut down, online media being shut down, social media blocked, their debit cards not working, their retail outlets closing, their streaming services cut, the stock market being indefinitely closed, their online shopping being cut and thinking that the special operation in Luhansk and Donbass is going swimmingly.
Vlad is in the Fuhrerbunker.
Well, We are all worried about being Nuked but if NATO went in we might have been able to avoid such incidents as this.
Hopefully only a minor fire.
China is also gradually moving towards a bit of a stance like: “Russia? Who? Oh! That Russia… never heard of them…” having been best buds a few weeks ago.
I think China may be somewhat taken aback at how utterly self destructive and boorish this is.
The Chinese approach tends to look for stability over anything else and they have to protect their enormous business interests - it’s a highly globalised and very technologically sophisticated economy.
I would suspect there are very hard limits to how much China cares about Russia tbh. At the end of the day, China will put China first.
if a nuclear reactor gets blown up and radiation becomes a major issue, this could be the trigger for the European contingent of Nato to say this in fact triggers article 5 as many of the EU countries inhabitants will die as a result or this aggression, this then will drag the US in also, and we are on the precipice of such a scenario right now
Live camera. Appears to be a fire going on the right.
Not saying Russia is totally homogenous, but what significant internal strife since 2011?
Yes not everyone is happy, but Putin has had an extremely firm grip for at least a decade now. It's like when people were claiming that the Burmese Junta, or Maduro, or Assad, or Lukashenko would go to protests or strife - nope.
Possibly not but if I was Ukrainian I'd be exploring the option and if I lost my kids in the war I'd probably hunt them down til the day I died. Some might say well they're innocent but tell that to someone who's kids were blown apart by one of Putins bombs
Oh no .. fcuk fcuk fcuk
Wonder what their security detail looks like? I know they live under assumed names abroad, but do their friends not twig they are not just vanilla billionaire daughters with the presumably high-level of protection around them?
Imagine the sucker of a boyfriend that doesn't realise he's going out with one of Putin's daughters. There's difficult breakups and then there's trying to break up with the daughter of a man that poisons people for sport.
