Putin may need to be careful here. If he keeps emptying his munition dumps on Ukraine he has no economic capacity or supplies to replace them and he leaves himself in a very vulnerable position. Add to that high troop losses (mammies going to find out when viktor doesn't come home) and an army no longer willing to fight and he's doubly vulnerable.

There’s millions of men of fighting age in Ukraine. The instructions for using an NLAW is only three or four pages with captioned pictures, if the manual posted online is accurate. They seem to be landing in regular drops. They’ve gotten thousands now, every 10 NLAWs is going to result in at least 6-8 tanks getting fried.
I’ve said it before on this thread, but people really have no idea how dependent we are on China. There’s this assumption that’s it’s all tat, or at best high end electronics assembly that the country outputs and that we can just transition away from that. And that’s completely missing his much they control essential resources etc. it’s nigh on impossible to remove them now.

A lot of those who seem to be defending Russia would be some of the first people who’d find themselves behind bars in Russia.
How in the name of anything can someone who is anti establishment in their politics support a regime like that? You’d be tolerated for about 3 mins in Russia if you went out protesting, as many protesters over the last few days were.

The only reason Putin objects to Ukraine joining NATO is that it would be almost impossible to invade after it joins. With ICBMs and subs there is no justification for ‘keeping nukes off our border’.
I think that is what boils my blood about how the hard left are pussyfooting around on this invasion. They don’t follow the logic through to its conclusion. Noam Chomsky makes the same argument. It’s like burglars saying ‘we won’t rob your house, unless you get locks and an alarm’.
The hard left just stop at the point where they can lay equal blame on NATO but ignore the right to self determination and collective defence of a sovereign nation.
