Richard Ceann?
I hate when Shops or whatever try and get details like that but at the same time I wouldn't say anything as they are usually only doing what they are told, but I'd give them dud info
I think it's for customs. I'll ask her when she gets back from school
Sounds exactly like what the globalists want.
Any idea what the reason for it is?
I also looked at the klass oil website and it said it had no green in stock
Daughter works in local shop anyone who buys green has to sign for it. I think I posted on here before about a lad who signed his name as Peter crouch, Anfield.
Ah hold on here now.road diesel was 1.67 in local coop Tuesday.how come ag diesel is rising faster than road diesel
I d say the opposite is the case that modern machines are burning more diesel to do the same work but are producing less emissions.
Jones oil
😶
Just tried to log onto top oil website to see the prices. It states the website is offline, it shows the list of depots and instructs you to ring your local one for assistance
Yea I'm thinking it's more the shop trying to keep himself covered if someone says they got their fuel there if something came up.
Back in the day when biodiesel was available on forecourts you had to sign for it and you got a receipt as proof of purchase from a bona fide source. If you met a customs checkpoint you could show what was in the tank was above board.
I'd have asked her the reason for that. Maybe it could be they are getting a lot of drive aways with the increase in the fuel price
The cashier in the shop. I asked why and he said we've to take the Reg.
Asked by who?
It isn't half dear enough for some apparently. I just got a WhatsApp from my contractors son with a pic of a crew from North Cork spreading slurry with a pipe system in Kildare in last few days. 170km trek to spread shyte.
Got a few gallons of green at a filling station this evening and was asked for the tractor registration number ?? What's that about?
I was talking to one of my bale wrap suppliers today and at the moment Silotite wrap is at €115 a roll and expected to go higher. It was €90-95 last year and €80 the year before. That’s at best case scenario a minimum €35 rise on a roll that does 31 bales at 4 layers so €1.13 per bale or €1.70 a bale at 6 layers.
I totally get the point re the fertiliser/feedlot link but the fact is that there are still a lot of farmers depending on fertiliser to grow grass and the significant price increase is going to hit them very hard notwithstanding diesel, wrap, meal and every other input going up too.
the only way it can be good is if the price increase is higher than cost of inputs and that’s not happening.
it’s not good for anyone and it’s going to be a challenging couple of years
Hard to know but atm you would be looking at a €10 extra per job per hour for diesel at least.
I heard of a fella today that claimed to fill his harvester it cost him €1300 but now its gonna cost him €3000.
Also heard rumours of lads seriously considering parking some machines up and downsizing for the year. Cutting thier cloth to measure.
Also heard talk of 150 per acre for pit this year.
I see what u mean but the pack of fags is really only "worth" about a Euro and price has been artificially inflated by various governments. Similar story with pints
Supply chains are often so long now its hard to find the true value of things. I think the system is designed to allow for repeated taxation and feathering the nests of as many parasitic middlemen as possible
Just goes to show how reliant on Oil the farming in Ireland has become. Some of the activities use huge amounts of Diesel. In fairness contractors are running modern machines that are fuel efficient but the bulk of Tractors on the farms are older Diesel guzzling yolks
Do people need to eat?
Or is that just old fashioned thinking.
Well if it does no slurry or silage will be done as it would be cheaper to park machines up
The biggest feed lots in the world are facing in to 10 dollar corn, a doubling and still rising.
Brutal here, extra brutal there.
Beef may become the preserve of the rich consumer
Talking today about 5 a kg being the new 4, but 6 is probably needed next year.
There is going to come a point Where people will start de-stocking and carry the minimum and no more. Are we past it, probably for a lot of people and I don't know if it is just denial that makes me say for "a lot of people".
It will finish a lot of feed lots globally, the challenge is that the wave isn't so big that it washes us all away.
There are enough disadvantages obviously though.
Well I would 150% disagree with yourself and bass. Prices are not increasing at the rate costs are. Even if price increased somewhat in line with costs, margin is still the same but the farmer is left carrying a higher financial risk given the volatility of beef prices.
just can’t see how the current price increases could be good for farmers, end of.
Jesus- there'll be a few thirsty yokes going on fire this summer! We had a combine go up years ago n insurers sent a lad out who traced it back to a wire in the starter n paid out. At the time plenty of lads were torching theirs, there was no flies on this fella he'd sniff them out.
Quoted 1.30 a litre green today!! Madness
