Unfortunately, this is quite true, Pharma is a business, they generate huge profits from "controlling"medical conditions as opposed to curing them. Most research, therefore goes into control of medical conditions which often result in a lifetime of dependency as opposed to curing that requires a single or one off course of treatment.
