I would. Would you?
You think reporters should start guessing who would replace Putin if he died? Rather than what's happening right now?
We have well moved on from "journalist's looking for visas " here pal. And yes burning the embassy is better than watching, can you imagine, watching people being blown up by these bustards.
You might get a new cold War as a result of this although it would likely not be as long lasting as the previous one.
I am wondering if that Estonian cargo ship sinking near Odessa was a possible accidental hit by Ukraine forces
As someone posted earlier, staying up all night watching the war is starting to tell on some people's concentration levels.
assuming Russia has ireland lined up for at least one targeted strike if Armageddon is on the menu
Im heading to O connell st , Drop it directly over me , the survivors are the ones who suffer in nuclear war
Excellent comment.
You won't even say the word Bastards and you want to kidnap Putin's relatives and burn down an Embassy. Sorry but I can't really take you seriously.
America is somewhat the same in some respects.
Invading sovereign countries without any valid reasons.
Two wrongs never make a right but listening to Putins BS about why this "operation" was necessary last week was eerily similar to W Bush waffling on about WMD's in iraq, the incumbent administration using its people as human shields, uncooperative nuclear inspectors "committing suicide". Not to mention people all over the world protesting in even greater numbers against an invasion that was never going to stop.
The number of blatant war crimes being carried out in Ukraine is a marked difference, but Russian troops have been notorious for that type of behaviour since the days when Vladimir Putin was only a twinkle in his Daddy's eye.
Not me. I've watched tonnes of Hollywood post-apocalyptic movies and I think I have what it takes to go all Ray Mears and just survive in a cave and live off the...radiated land.....
As an update on the earlier tweet. Still scary stuff, shows how captured the entire Duma is
We know that you don't get to be right-hand man of a authoritarian psychopath without being a horrible scumbag yourself. You have literally murdered people to get where you are. But at the same time we also know that ultimately these people are out for themselves and have zero real loyalty.
There are usually one of two outcomes;
The fumes from all the piss will form a protective cloud and the nuke will bounce right off it and detonate safely in the upper atmosphere... or Carlow. It's a win either way.
Apparently planes leaving Russia are packed with people who fear that martial law is coming. Less destinations to go to. Obviously now is better while the planes are still working.
I'd say the only place in Ireland likely to have a chance, if there were strikes here, is maybe Donegal, assuming there was no nuclear winter. Irish targets would be likely Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast, maybe Wexford? That said if the wind was from the east the radiation clouds from Europe and Uk would be unpleasant to say the least.
I think I'd rather be outside the GPO if it came to it with my family munching on a mars bar with a bottle of "Aspall Cyder" in the other hand.
Ok, so in one scenario the control of Russia is complete chaos. So who then safeguards the Nuclear codes? This is not a good outcome for the world.
I'm sure this is the kind of scenario Western intelligence agencies are very keen to avoid.
She's in trouble then:
Elena Osipova. Apparently she is a famous survivor of the siege of Stallingrad. After the images of the primary school children in the clink after being arrested for protesting, I thought I had seen everything but then this happened:
Apparently Macron spoke to Putin for 90min!!. Imagine having to bite your tongue for that long whilst that scumbag kept to the script about 'denazification' and the rest of his bullshit.
It turns out that Russia/Putin, by failing to move with the times, is in fact the one who has become weak. His country economically unprepared for the response of the West, and his military, unconvinced by his toxic macho bullsh1t, unwilling to fight a war in his name.
So are you saying the crisis is over? Or where are you getting this inside info from the Russian military.
I'm reading about the loss of life suffered and millions fleeing in the country in terror in Ukraine from some posters , and the Russian armies lack of penetration and unwillingness to fight from others
The Russian propaganda is one problem, we know everything from them is rubbish, but the allied inaccuracies are just as harmful
That's because putins war machine won't stop ,he will stop, rearm once he's razed Ukraine to the ground and then move on to the next target.
It sounds crazy alright. What use would they be in the military if they are protesting against the war?
She was armed with knitting needles!!
Apparently one of the highest ranking Russians to die in the war so far
I did answer it. I said I don't know. You seem to have the answer, and since your answer as I understand would lead to a nuclear holocaust I don't think it's the best one.
I'm not prepared to take that wager myself. Why do you believe what you've written?
He's bluffing in terms of WW3, but he could easily set of a nuke to make people think he isn't.
I have previously mentioned putin should be removed on here , but know I'm beginning to think something more extreme has to happen to Russia not just putin or In a few years we Will be dealing with a combination of putin and xi ping with Europe caught in a pincer movement between the the two .
We're in the most serious of situation nobody has seen since 1939
Bear Grylse has taught me I can survive anything by drinking my own piss. Wait, maybe mine won't work and I have to drink Bear Grylse's piss, feck that.
Obviously it's difficult to determine Russia's actual intentions and motivations - especially since much of what they've done and said does not make sense. But their stated intentions (and threats) to this point don't include the expressed intention to exterminate the Ukrainian people. And I'm not sure that their actions so far do either. Violently invading a country, to occupy it or change the regime, is not in itself genocide.
I do of course appreciate that the poor Ukrainians may not see it that way, and it's of no consolation to the victims. And people are fearful that since Russia have already crossed a number of lines, they could possibly cross that one in the future.
