My boot has failed to open a couple of times so was going to book in for a service appointment, what did the ranger have to do to fix it and did it happen when he came to see it or did they just take your word for it?
Thanks for the info good to know, Agnelli was handy for Luas
I fixed our boot issue by extending the rubber bump stops by a bit. Ours stopped opening reliably after a few months in service. The bump stops just turn by hand. The issue was that the boot lid didn't spring out quickly enough when the latch opened and therefore the lid was still in partially locked position.
Just adjust them slightly until the lid visibly springs up (evenly, i.e. only one side might need adjustment) on release. This totally fixed ours.
Has anyone got texts from Tesla for collections for last 2 weeks of March. I have been told verbally by Tesla that mine will be sometime in last two weeks of March but I have not received the awaited text and they also said I should receive communication towards end of Feb. Time passes by.
I've nothing yet. I rang the helpline yesterday and they told me my car had made it to Dublin. The guy at the sales counter said on Monday that he expects me to get a text this week. I've everything sorted on my end - the wait in intorlerable. Still - I'm mostly expecting both of us to have our new cars on Paddy's Day.
still at this stage
Same here, no confirmation of date yet, was just on the chat with them a few minutes ago and they are still saying ETA end of March and to wait for SMS
Same position for me, was told mid to late March for collection but nothing official in the form of texts, emails, or the like.
We've got a holiday booked for the 21st March so it's pretty much guaranteed they'll start deliveries then 😄
It's a comparison proportionally I'm comparing baskets of apples one is big and full the other is smaller and not so full. Proportionally means the bigger basket and the smaller basket should be at a similar level instead of the bigger one over flowing 😉
No doubt there will 5000 and interestingly the Irish market proportionally is serviced better that the UK and even the u.s.
But you guys will remain niche so happy days for ye 😁
Nope quite the opposite.
68 million / 34000 = 2000
5million / 853 = 5,861
The lower the number the better like 1 in every 2000 getting the car rather than 1 in every 5000
Or explain your logic on the calculation?
Mmm that's a personal thing I'm slightly dyslexic and don't have grammarly on my phone. That's lots of re-reads.
But classic thing to do on a forum discussion throw in a few personal comments and then correct spelling 🤣
I had a video prepared because it was very random but the guy knew what I was talking about. He looked at the latch to be sure it is nothing in there holding the boot. Then he replace the whole control arm. The only tool he needed was a screwdriver to pry a cover. According to him the arm is missing an oring and loosing power in time. The replacement is upgraded. So I'd say log your issue.
Submarine mode activated on this modded Overlander M3 - go to 6:00m mark.
I normally just use bonkers.ie and/or switcher.ie to pick the best deal
Anyone have a delivery checklist near to hand (remember one being here but can't find it and search function is a disaster)? Looking like pick up on Sat for the wife...
I have the “Inspect T” app although I haven’t collected mine yet so there might be a better list out there.
I will have a small balance to settle on collection day, do they take credit card @ Baldonnell?
How long do people typically go from receiving their VIN in the source code to getting a delivery date?
Mine appeared on the 7th of February, but my trade-in offer expires on the 14th of March. I'm concerned that a new offer would be lower if my delivery is after that.
I'm on Feb 7th as well. Zucar offered me €1000 more than tesla though so you have a back up if the trade in is lower
Oh, I might give Zucar a look and see what they say. Do you just drive the car to one of their locations then?
Have you been given any indication of a delivery date?
Got 1500 more than any dealer with zucar. No hassle gave exactly the sum quoted only asked for the vehicle reg cert and keys done in 10 minutes.
There's a list of locations on the site. Mine was to a ford dealer I think zucar is tied to Joe Duffy motors.

No delivery date as yet
Same as above, ordered 25th Jan, no delivery date yet, but told I was matched with a car 🤷♂️
Im not sure they accept payment on the day.
The website says you must pay your balance prior to delivery.
Same here, got the "car has been allocated" text on Feb 23, have a VIN in source code and fully paid up, have been told by the sales team that it should be mid-March...
I'm normally quite patient, but I think I might be a bit too excited about this...
Lads (And Lasses) I hope you all get your cars soon, it's a fabulous car. I was lucky grabbing an inventory one in early February, if not could well have been May for me.
Had my first decent run today down to Kinsale from west Co Wexford. So comfy and loads of power. Filled up at Mahon to 100% on way home and used 32% to get 142km home. Plenty of heat, some heavy showers and speed limit or a few km above where possible.
Pity autosteer doesn't work when not using adaptive cruise control, it does on Hyundai and my previous Honda. I prefer to drive the car myself when on busy A roads, but would like the help of auto steering. Perhaps on a future update? And vis out the back window is poor. Also live camera not working for me on app, thought after todays update it might. Have tried reinstalling but no luck as yet.
My new Tesla wheel caps arrived yesterday, think I prefer the look rather than the aero covers.
I have a car to sell first, so would hopefully get a txt soon with a delivery date.
Any shot of Kinsale is a decent angle to be honest (with only a very small amount of bias). Thanks for the update @eagerv , good to get early thoughts.
I never even got a car has been allocated text. (Have VIN in source code). How did you pay before getting the delivery date?
