Shouldn't have invaded during winter. If anyone knows about Russian winters....it's the Russians. Putin should have waited for a nice spring offensive. Less mud means less embarrassment for the 'super power'.
But if he stays in Ukraine, he's looking at years of crippling sanctions and Russia remaining banned from everything (including the flights, the banks, sport etc). He has created the most almighty mess for himself.
Yes I would take anything that sees zelensky as leader and Russian troops out. But whether its next week or months down the line I want to see putin dead end of.
Granny is a national security threat. Off to the Siberian gulag with her. Putin has stressed that Russia needs security, so this goes some way to achieving that.👍️
It was tongue in cheek trying to inject a bit of light relief into a bleak situation. No offense intended.
I really hope all these promised western weapons are coming through thick and fast and into the hands of professional Ukrainian soldiers otherwise all the clapping in the European Parliament and state of unions speeches look like false dawns. I know we can’t engage directly but god let’s throw the kitchen sink at this weapons wise.
the battle for Odessa is next after Mariupol falls and then the battle for the Dnieper Valley all the way to link up with the armies attacking the North in Kyiv.....but if China steps in Putin will be happy to just take Mariupol, Kherson and a few other cities in order to take the whole of the coast to the sea of Azov and have a constant flow of water from the Dnieper river to Crimea through the pre-built canal that Ukraine had switched off since 2014
On the contrary, Russia is a very beautiful country. Has its fair share of problems, but it’s an astounding place. Hosts a truly vibrant culture in the main cities unlike anything we have here in terms of scale or ambition. I’ve met many remarkably kind and cultured people there.
You would think so but I wouldn't be so sure. Unless his inner circle turn on him he's probably going nowhere.
What the fuck are you talking about you weirdo.
A tank stuck in the mud is no indication of the relative strength or weakness of any combatant. It happens to them all.
Tanks have pretty shit floatation over soft ground.
Imagine surviving the siege of Leningrad just to be arrested for advocating against war.
This woman a survivor of the Siege of Leningrad😕
Your probably right so all we can do is look on as the Russians kill thousands of Ukrainians ..it will be tens of thousands of dead Ukrainians by the end of March ......if they decide to take Poland next can do we just keep looking on ??
Well surprise, surprise!
The proto-typical left-wing forces decide to minimize any criticism of this disgusting invasion of Ukraine.
As usual, as per Red Daly style, we get the kind of comment like, "But whilst Russia is not acting appropriately, we should consider [ insert apologetic comment and/or condemnation of the West as hypocrites ]".
Only one problem with that analysis. The Islamic revolution came to power promising to 'export the revolution' to the rest of the M.E. They currently have proxies operating in at least 4 Arab countries. That's quite imperialist when you try and export your ideology by force.
No, Putin will never recover from this, not in Russia, not in the west, this is the end of a despot.
Off the range that lad. Totally off the range. Unsalvagable
This is zero indication of anything other than the normal things tankers and their rescue vehicles have to face when traversing soft ground. It's happened to every combatant nation since the tank was invented.
But Russia is a nuclear power.
There is literally nothing anyone else can do (except support the resistance, of course).
The Ukraine stands no chance with all the Missile Strikes and more Shelling by tanks - when the ground troops get into the citys they'll kill Civilians wholesale.
Tens of Thousands of Ukranians will be erased by Putins army in the coming weeks
The point is that we all believed the Russian forces were stronger than they are.
Nobody is saying the Russians won't eventually win the war in Ukraine; in terms of initial takeover. They certainly will; they have the means.
But the logistical issues; the decline in morale among Russian troops; and the equipment, are not exactly a great look for the Russian military.
Ewan Mackenna has really fallen off a cliff recently.
That might be true, but quantity has a quality all of its own. While I do believe that the Russian offensive is close to reaching its culminating point, there is still a lot of inertia due to the sheer number of Russian forces involved. The next couple of days will turn into an absolute meat grinder on the ground, I'm afraid.
When it comes to Russia, it should be called KipAdvisor.
Talk of martial law being introduced in Russia. It will be so that scenes like this aren't seen. This kind of stuff will resonate even with harder line Russians.
If Russia invades another country, and the Russian people think this is all a plot "to get Russia", there is literally nothing more the world can do. Just cut them off, someone shoots Putin or they just continue down this path.
Not being smart but this isn't helpful 😕
At the moment the scumbags are blowing the s*ite out of Ukrainian cities. Facts verified by all broadcasting.
Heartbreaking and no amount of bs will change that
