The presenter's bemused laughter in this video is really something else.
Nailing his colours to the mast. No sign of him distancing himself from Putin.....rather he's backing the invasion and war to the hilt.
There is BS on both sides? You're drawing an equivalence between what Russia has lied and spread propaganda about - for example genocide in Ukraine, versus what's come from the Ukraine side?
They aren't in the same division when it comes to propaganda.
You need to restart your moral compass, seems to have lost its sense of direction from too much Russian propaganda. And yes, accepting without question that Ukraine hasn't adhered to Minsk agreements while Russia has is propaganda.
Was there information that Putin really expected that it will be 24/48 hour war?
There was an announcement in Russian media to stop any flights in Southern Russia up to 2nd March - it was announced in February 24. It was extended today up to March 8th based on Russian site:
Based on that, the war certainly did not happen the way it was originally planned.
Holocaust memorial in Kyiv hit. That "denazification" is going great. 6 dead in this strike. Memorial is near the tower that was hit.
Re: Moldova
i dont think the plan is to attack Moldova AFTER the war with Ukraine is finished, but during that time. Its pretty obvious that resistance would be weak in Moldova, its a very poor small country. Moldova would be taken in less than 24h prob without guns shot and russia would have a better access to the west of Ukraine via Odessa.
'Forget his excuses. Russia’s autocrat doesn’t worry about NATO. What terrifies him is the prospect of a flourishing Ukrainian democracy.'

As someone who grew up in the 70s/80s, it is interesting to see the various comments about retaliation.
Anyone familiar with Wargames, the film, will probably know that all these different scenarios were tested by a computer, and none of them work. They all end up like Threads (anxiety alert - don't look at that film if you've not seen it)
Any kind of nuclear retaliation = game over. Even a small nuke over the North Sea.
People who have seen Stanley Kubrick's Dr Strangelove will know that all it takes is even one missile to get through.
On a less dark-humour note. This has effected me mentally much more than I thought it would. Those images of kids leaving their fathers behind is heart-wrenching.
"Oh, shut up, you soppy old git."
right, the only naziesque behaviour is from Russia….Hitler invaded all around him under false pretences, now Putin is up to the same…
A Russian parks his army truck. A metaphor for Russia's war effort thus far.
When are all the Mig's getting delivered ?
In a surprise to no one the Putinbots are creeping back into the thread with their false equivalence and whataboutery
nonsense, Moldova has fought against russian imperialism for years in Transdnistra and would fight tooth an nail before handing over the whole country to the Russian empire
If Putin was to fall/die ,who would be his successor?
Good man.
Thanks for putting me straight
I look at this lot and I think....are they sending their best? look like a ramshackle bunch.
I thought all Russian vehicles were marked? (V, Z, O)
Is that not Ukrainian?
Thats from 2 days ago, today there were announcements about no planes being sent from certain member states? Anyone know what the real story is here?
There is no belief that it is going to happen any time soon but it is a more likely scenario for him that he will be ousted or retired when sanctions begin to bite. There is absolutely no positive outcome for hm from this. He is friendless, apart from the dopey "Colonel" next door and Putin is entirely to blame for where we have ended up.
That's the idea. We can look forward to monologue recaps of what is happening in the thread, like the great reset thread.
Completely believable to me. It's not hard to imagine Putin thinking an ex-comedian and actor would be sitting crying on Oprah's couch right now instead of making EU leaders take an unprecedented stand against Russia. I think many of the EU leaders felt the same for the first day or so, no point jumping into a conflict if the Ukrainian leadership had already jumped overboard. It was only after it became clear they were standing their ground and putting up a credible defence that they were shamed into action.
That guy trying to get himself killed? Jesus!
The peacekeeping force is busy in Kharkiv
Looks like they have changed their mind on this. Personally I thought it was a strange idea.
"Russia will not invade any EU or Nato member because of nuclear deterrence"
I know you're having a go at another poster there but you know that's absolutely brilliant for Russia, as it leaves them do what they likes without any possible interference in the Ukraine - a non nato and a non EU country.
But maybe you could explain if Russia is being so mindful of nuclear deterence - wtf are they escalating their Nuclear threat level over economic sanctions and what they have referred to as "aggressive statements" or is as previous that you simply are unable to understand the Russians using nuclear brinkmanship to do exactly what they like?
Centrica in UK (Bord Gais owner) has ended its gas supply agreement with Gazprom.
Jaguar Land Rover also pausing exports.
Cant say the morale is on top either
Most of these young soldiers doesnt even want to be in Ukraine
Are you going to play this act all thread?
Its not unreasonable to guess that from his initial actions, why not go in heavy first and overpower unless you reckon there wont be much resistance?. I've read from others more versed in all this than me that the generals thought that like in 2014, Ukranian defenses would be weak/effectively non existent.
Thats why they only sent in small forces. They are trying to revisit that now with their huge convoy to Kyiv however according to the BBC that seems to have stalled (for now) due to them running out of fuel and food, certainly doesn't seem like they originally planned having to use massive force and the convey is a hastily put together plan. No doubt the generals are under massive pressure to get this done from Moscow.
Thanks for posting, it's interesting to get a genuinely alternative view of all this from a Russian.
Shoigu the defence minister is a good bet. Best buddies with Vlad, a hero in Russia. Gives the appearance of an actual leader, unlike other lickspittles like Peskov.
