An animal rights 'activist' who was jailed for his role in animal liberation front crimes in the UK, went to prison there, got a PhD and was subsequently employed in a nice job in UCD sharing his expertise. Another I can think off the top of my head was the anti vaccine, anti mask and former UCD professor who had a warrent issued for her arrest in London during one of the lockdowns there.
