Think it's funny do you?
Negotiations can bring a swifter end to what is needless bloodshed - in the end the result will be the same.
I'm sure the Ukrainians will take your advice to be passively subsumed into Russia with all the sincerity it deserves
That is a moronic comparison. Ming Flanagan is not the head of an armed neo-nazi group explicitly endorsed by the Irish government.
From the West Point article - hardly Russian propaganda:
"The Azov Regiment enjoyed support from within the government of then President Petro Poroshenko and the security services, despite well-documented reports of human rights abuses"
So do you support a Russian invasion of the US as well?
Your posts are really top quality care, @Yurt!
The same posters that you respond to will tell the Eastern European EU countries to sacrifice themselves for the “greater good” when Putin invades then
I am free, therefore I am. Without freedom life ceases to possess any meaning
Cool story bro.
Is it better to be passively subsumed into Russia or actively subsumed into Russia?
The end result is the same, but there is a lot more death down one road.
Well yes. The UN ambassador read out a load of fake texts from a messageboard online without any verification it was real.
Christ. How would anyone knowingly drive a tank over another human being trained or untrained? Hard to fathom, just shows those poor soldiers are utterly dispensable pawns without so much as a second thought given about them.
Missiles being fired near or at Kiev tonight. Already been a couple of big explosions but of course you can't tell anything at night about targets or anything
And in other cities
Even if it is, it might not be too far fetched given who's behind all this.
Yes I do. Russia have made a bags of this invasion. A comedy of amateur errors. They won't win this war easy that's for sure. Could be like the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan where they underestimated the job on hand and came back with their tails between their legs.
This sounds totally believable. Apparently, many Russian soldiers weren't even told they would have to fight Ukrainians and thought they were going in as some sort of liberating army and would be greeted with cheering crowds throwing flowers to them.
One by one they'll fall, easy pickings. Piles of sh ite . All curtainside vehicles lolz. Will be fun to shoot through.
Like the claims of genocide by drug addict Nazis?
Who lost the election in 2019. Never mind that his lowest support when he did get in was in the eastern more Russian states. So why didn't Putin invade when he was in charge what with the nazis getting government support?
All in the eyes, Putin knows the game is up
And who's the President of Ukraine now?
You got caught peddling known Kremlin propaganda, and you can't find a way out.
A quote from an American writer who wrote a (critical) book on the Asov Batallion - Michael Colborne:
"The best known, though not best understood, name on Ukraine’s far right — the Azov movement, the subject of my latest book — is being more frequently dropped online by people who want to give Putin a free pass to do what he wants in Ukraine."
Wakey, wakey. That's you dingus.
Its trivially easy to fake text messages. So its up to each person if they want to believe it or not.
Its being read out to stir emotions.
The Ukrainians have quite clearly made a decision on that matter.
By your logic the major world powers should just play top trumps to take over every other country in the world.
Well, they're probably conscripted soldiers - and of course they're pawns. They're literally the very thing pawns on a chess board are supposed to represent.
By the looks of some of the interactions with locals they haven't a clue what's going on other than following orders.
Asking me why Putin didn't do this or that is a nonsense deflection.
Are there neo-nazi militias operating in Ukraine with the explicit support of the government? Yes or no.
Exaclty. Carpet bomb the cremlin into the the abyss.
There are people out there who will lap up any excuse, any pretext for war. They say they hate war yet find themselves online making excuses for those who launch it. They say they hate fascism yet provide comfort to the greatest fascist threat of the 21st century playing out on our television screens and in the cities of Ukraine. They are empty vessels for propaganda, they appear to think values are a horsetrade.
They are to be pitied.
Even if it was fake, it ties in with what we are hearing overall - many of the Russian soldiers had little awareness of what was expected of them and some even thought they were going in as a peacekeeping force. It's a deeply corrupt regime and regards even its own troops as dispensable.
The Ukrainians are on the good side here. The Russians have been gaslighting and manipulating the entire world in the run up to the attack. And frankly, patience and trust is not there with pro Russian posters or those obviously trying to downplay absolutely everything that is happening to get control of the narrative. It's not going to work.
I know what side I'm believing. As we speak that statement is being researched and investigated with a fine tooth combe. He would have had to do his dillegence before putting it out there.
I don't disagree.
A bit pot-kettle-black here. Weren't you just parroting a lot of jingoistic tripe about how you are glad Ukrainians are fighting (futilely) to the death?
And you have the gall to talk about people out there who "lap up any excuse" for war? I'm sure your praise is a real comfort to those who are losing and will continue to lose family members due to this conflict - but sure at least they didnt negotiate with the Russians eh?
Here's the thing, people are saying if the Russians attack a NATO state then it's over but I don't think it is. NATO would have no desire or need to launch nukew, they could annihilate their army by conventional means. Russia would be the ones launching nukes as a last ditch attempt and by that point you'd expect the likes of Putin to be removed and negotions started.
Basically once NATO roll in all bets are off and anyone with any desire to keep living will prevent a Russian nuclear strike.
You tried to peddle they were in government. This, not coincidentally, has been used as casus belli by the far more dangerous fascist sitting in the Kremlin. It was and is a lie. It's an attempt to get the Russian people to buy into his war of national extinction he had long planned for Ukraine.
A side benefit for Putin is that some absolute low-IQ roasters in the West will repeat it. Sound familiar? You've been hijacked by propaganda. You may have been sold on the lie, but don't try to get me or anyone else to buy it.
