What would your advice to the Irish government be if the UK suddenly decided to send troops across the Northern Ireland border to 'liberate' Ireland?
I think it makes more sense for people to think Putin is just insane or gone crazy or has a terminal illness or something.
He's not stupid. He's surrounded by pro russian people who are likely all in favour of invading Ukraine too.
So one thing that is unproven makes RT credible?
Maybe you slept through the last 2 years and missed all the misinformation and lies about Covid.
Next few days are crucial
I mean - that has nothing to do with Ukraine?
I assume it's TV channels. RT was on Sky for example before.
look at the guys on Snake Island who told the Russian Navy to F-Off despite knowing they would die
This was confirmed propaganda by the way.
Russian MoD posted videos showing captives from Snake Island being escorted off the island. The Ukrainian MoD later confirmed that "miraculously" the soldiers on snake island survived.
But many commentators are saying that Putin's behaviour has changed. I would question how invading Ukraine is not the action of an idiot. Ultimate dictatorial power always ends up with the dictator losing their mind as they ignore advice & believe their own hype.
It doesn't really matter that much overall how ineffective they are.
The images of civilians flocking to arms and unifying in the face of Russian invasion has tremendous impact on domestic morale, increased external support, while hitting already suspect Russian morale even harder.
Whatever their historic faults, the Ukrainian leadership have been playing a real A-game so far. Zelenskyy has played a very significant role in rallying the country.
It's still there this morning though and the Sky EPG is still being updated. Removing the satellite feed is a trivial thing to do, so why hasn't it happened already?
Well, the two possibilities of a UK invasion would be:
What would you choose?
If anyone thinks there's a chance of Ukraine winning this war v Russia they are very naive.
No that was bullshit broadcast by RT, now piss off bot!
Why did the Ukrainian MoD confirm it then?
Provide the link please.
Link to said videos ?.
Or is your arse doing the talking as per usual
Can we put fcucking Covid to bed. One global crisis at a time please.
So no actual report, just a passing comment that it shouldn't be totally ruled out in the investigation.
Ah didn't read the second half, edited my reply
It's very annoying the way that some of the biggest trolls on here have their profiles set to 'private' and it seems you cannot put them on Ignore.
Is there any way around this?
The problem for the Russians is that they will conquer the Ukraine but the holding of it will be at a brutal cost and getting there will be at brutal cost.
The cost of occupation alone can break Russia.
None of what you have posted there has been confirmed in any way.
Wibbs, I would not be so sure that Putin isn't a lunatic at this point. There is no rational explanation for the force of his actions. He has ruined the Russian economy, caused Germany to re-arm, taken an action that has uncanny similarities to the Sudeten Crisis, and issued several warnings of nuclear strikes. It is unclear how any of these actions advance Russia's interests. None of this needed to happen.
Meanwhile his face is stuffed with botox, and he sits imperiously on a throne in gilded Romanov rooms issuing orders, many meters from his underlings, all of whom are clearly terrified of him.
We have to seriously consider the possibility that his state of mind has diminished markedly. Some of the comments he has made since 2018 regarding nuclear war are blood curdling. It is more than idle talk at this point.
You can manually add user names in your ignore list.
Sure the ghost of kyiv will wipe out the Russian airforce before long, how many kills is she on now? 10? 20?
The Russian middle class are literally seeing their savings evaporate in real time.
Maybe that's what will really excite public opinion in Russia because, let's face it, the anti-war protests to date have been relatively tiny. Put a million people on the streets of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, that changes things.
If they won't do it on behalf of their Ukrainian neighbours who are being slaughtered, the hope must be they will do it in their own economic self-interest.
Literally no one thinks that
Will the same thing happen here when inflation erodes our savings, and energy/fuel prices rising raises the cost of living?
There are no winners in this conflict (except for arms dealers)
This whole thing is horrendous, but always good to see European countries pulling together
Whats this
