Ah yeah there's another thirty grand..
36 k of extras so far
House seems modest..for 300k..which already has foundations and some walls.
Last weeks show the house was built from scratch, was very big and spacious for what 400k?
spare me "I want my house to look like a hotel! Not my kind of show tonight cos its not my kind of taste at all. Tacky. And I feel a bit sorry for the hubby, guessing he doesn't have a say in things at all, she does.
Ah Ffs the other thing I hate the polished concrete floor!
I think this one is going to be underwhelming when it's finished but I'll wait and see.
Where's all the extra money coming from? Annoying.
That’s their business.
they just got another loan out??? He must have got a new job!
The housing estate layout looks really weird. One whole gable wall and windows on the neighbours house are just going to have a view of this new build.
Timing… houses weren’t always crazy money.
Probably just got another job after being made redundant. Invested his lump sum in the property.
Who knows, none of it makes any sense!
Where it always comes from.... wealthy family.
They only bought that house, they cost 600-700k, then they are spending 300k on rebuild.
The 100k redundancy money ain't going to go far.
Missed a bit there. Was that Twink sitting outside?
I'm not saying the couple is annoying. Just annoying how RTE house shows always disregard budgets. It doesn't come across as realistic.
Sure that's gorgeous
Anyone who has done a big job on a house knows that it is realistic. There are always changes.
€613k for a money pit,
.....not exactly pocket change!

I take it back kitchen is fabulous + I love the spine wall/ extra storage.
Why is he still using Munster Joinery? We got our windows from them and during storms we have to cable tie them closed!
Fab job.
I wasnt far off + 300k so it's a million euro house but sure no problem.
Just what you average family with 4 kids can afford.
It's gorgeous. And she's great fun. Husband much quieter, but a nice chap too.
It’s clearly realistic, maybe not for you. But for many it is.
Yeah seems very mixed views on them. We were in new build years ago + brand new windows from them were in bits in less than 10 years, very shoddy.
Plenty can and do afford it.
I can’t, but I don’t begrudge it to those who can.
The participants get great discounts for being on the show. They get better value than if they achieved the same finish without being on the show.
Right down to the number of number of kids, and where there are conceived I'd say.
have to say I love it - not necessarily the decor (in the bedroom), but overall its lovely. Its just so hard to jump from the shell of the house to the completed project with so little insight into how it was done.
