Countries apply for membership of the EU and go through a formal and lengthy process. The EU doesn't go them begging them to join.
Could America dry lease 5 B-2 Stealth Bombers and 100 Apache helicopters to the Ukrainians for a month or would that be against war rules or are there any rules?
Actually once a candidate state applies for membership, then it is very much for the EU to decide on that candidacy. And VDL is the face of the EU.
This helpful article may educate you on the process as was in place before the invasion. Obviously that timeline will now accelerate.
No need to thank me, consider it a public service on my behalf to educate you.
sounds like their could be chaos in russia tomorrow:
"There are already signs that the value of the rouble has tumbled. By Sunday evening, Russia’s Tinkoff Bank was buying dollars for 89 roubles and selling them for 154, nearly double the price just three weeks ago."
A coup is the only way out I can see right now.
The reason for this invasion is because Russia sees Ukraine slipping from its orbit into the EU / NATO orbit. Just like the other functioning democracies that got independence after the USSR collapse. Those are the stakes.
Cant see how its a provocation compared to you know that convoy?
Ehh what does Russia stand for ?
Corruption, oligarchs, poisoning dissidents, shooting opposition politicians in the street, throwing journalists in jail, shooting down airliners?
Fook you and fook the Russians who have invaded another sovereign state.
You mean the Russians that were planted right across the old Soviet Union and the natives either slaughtered or displaced to the depths of Siberia.
You really expect a Putinbot/Putin-stan to mention that little doozy?
Good. It might wake up the citizenry.
And, as we know from history, once Russians get revolutionary events can....spiral.
I didn't know that I can be more proud of the Polish team and now I am!!! Lads, it's your best ever performance in the World Cup qualifiers ever!
FIFA can call Russian even "pace keeping mission team" and play "Imagine" as their anthem. That game won't go ahead.
I somehow doubt the Ukranians have B-2 Jockeys hanging around just waiting for their ride to show up.
Would the Ukrainians have the manpower or capabilities to fly them?
Unless of course a lot of the "Ukrainian diaspora" could be found to fly them ;)
Covid masks might be gone, but the gas masks....
EU is sending fighter jets but America wants to steer clear of conflict as much as possible; they don't want to be obliged to fry Russian territory with nukes.
Definitely not.
But no reason why their nonsense shouldn't go unchallenged...if they post it..and are continuing to be allowed to post dangerous misinformation...it's better to respond imo.
352 civilians dead, including 14 kids.
People like us. Just living their ordinary lives. This is the price that Putin is paying to steal another country
Go back in time before everything was airbrushed to fit a narrative. March 2014 article before any Russian army entered Crimea.

A fitting finale for the Qatar World Cup - Qatar VS ROC in the final - everybody else boycotts. If FIFA don't look behind the dollar signs in their eyes there's a very real possibility of that happening.
This has to be one of the most idiotic questions posted to date on this thread. I would suggest that you grab a history book covering European history 1945 to 1999. Have a good read. Then speak to someone born in the early 1970's. Chat to them about what it was like growing up during the Cold War with the constant threat of nuclear war. The amount of ignorance portrayed by many of a certain generation is astounding. Completely wrapped up in a virtue-signalling bubble of TikTok videos and Instagram filters. What are you going to use for social media when you are siphoning diesel out of a bus to run your generator in order to feed your kids a hot meal. Climate change is going to be the last thing on your mind.
Okkkkkayyyyy
True that
It's not clever it is the right way to go about it from a neutral point of view. I don't think anyone can say anything to Ireland in a bad way.
All their bank notes will be worth using for is as wallpaper.
Was just about to say the same ,all able-bodied are been requested to walk 20km to the medyka border crossing as its quicker.
The cue for traffic is 3 days wait.
Polish and European truck drivers are been told to pull over out of the way and walk across the border.
Exactly. There needs to be a complete toning down of the Rhetoric from the West. When you're dealing with someone who is unhinged you don't want to throw more flames on the fire.
What while Kiev is surrounded. Too late again
Yeah but in the Cuban Missile Crisis anyway I believe that was a close run thing and it could easily have gone the other way if a few key guys in the chain hadn't stuck their necks out. And I don't know that power in Russia is less centralised in one man than it was in Soviet times. So you're effectively depending on a few individuals in the chain of command willing to risk their lives by committing mutiny/treason.
Smokescreen and nonsense.
Putin came out last week and said Ukraine has no right to exist. Its not a country. He sees it as Russian not just those regions they were just the opening gambit. He cant accept a Western oriented Ukraine.
He doesnt accept independence of Poland or Baltic States either. His true plan came out in that speech.
Did you not record your masters speech and replay it? Is it not part of your daily routine? It was broadcast on your tv channels no?
Those cyanide tablets we got years ago might come in handy.
