Endless war and disease has been normal for humanity for thousands of years now, so not going to change soon.
No, but where is this intel? Can you share a reliable source on it? There's no point in saying that there's intel, and then when you're questioned on it, just saying that all the intel is sound. You need to back it up with at least a credible reference.
If you're speculating that they'll invade Poland, fine. But that's not intel.
What a time to be alive 😀
That's the kind of comment I expect out of John Kerry who lamented that the Ukraine crisis was distracting people from global warming.
Which, by the way, becomes completely irrelevant if the human species doesn't even exist after a nuclear war.
Greetings. How are things there in the embassy?
I disagree but I understand where you are coming from
Time to get Joe Jacob out of retirement!
Was thinking that, but the Spanish civil war was a proxy war much like all those wars in Africa where both US and USSR were supporting one side or the other.
This is one side actually fighting like Vietnam or Afghanistan.
This would be more like Vietnam where the Soviets had "advisors" and at one stage pilots training or probably more like Korean war where Soviet pilots flew in Chinese and North Korean units.
Our neutrality is a joke, always has been to a degree.
I mean our neutrality would not have saved us from Hitler if he had gotten this far.
Most neutral countries could put up a fight to protect themselves, we have to use the British.
We are seen as in the pockets of the US and we are EU. EU is Putin's enemy.
Yeah Coveney will save the day and get Putin to go home.
Jaysus Wibbs are you losing it, what with your worry that we are on the brink of when two tribes go to war.
I think it's better when we have a whole range of voices in the EU.
Russia, at the moment, is one voice.
I know which one I prefer.
Sigh! Do you understand that by constructive abstention we allow the military Bill go through. The main powers in the west wish us to remain a neutral country as it is a very advantageous position to be in.
Can you get an EU grant to build a bunker and more importantly do you need planning permission?
With all due respect, you are talking rubbish. Nothing I have said about any other topic has any bearing on this matter.
I haven't once defended propaganda. I have just said I don't want it banned or censored.
You registered recently, plenty of political posts + a few here-and-there and a small group is giving you "Thanks" no matter what you post. It's funny, isn't it?
FFS man they are literally fighting for their lives and you are worried that its against the EU rulebook.
I've no interest in watching it. But my fear would be that if it was banned, it would send a lot more people towards it to see what they are not supposed to hear. Much like the Streisand effect in reverse
I wonder if there is going to be a hostage situation developing, "spies" rounded up etc.
Is that not exactly what I was saying?
I hope Belarus get hammered over their support for and participation in the war on Ukraine. Air defences are going to be crucial for the Ukrainians in defending their country so any extra planes are great. Worst comes to all I presume they could attack from Poland?
"Ukraine is one of us and we want them in the EU."
Ursula VDL this evening. It's unbelievable the speed that events are happening at.
Luckily our prevailing wind is from the southwest in terms of fallout.
If the wind happened to easterly at the time it wouldn't be great here either.
Putin did not control the crowds in the east or in Crimea to protest outside Ukrainian bases after the Kyiv coup. People citizens in the region expressed, the Ukrainian units leave behind their gear and head back to Kyiv. The new government in Ukraine sends to the region, army reinforcements to eliminate the separatists and then Russia takes action..
People in a given country want to be ruled by someone else they have that right. People in Ireland have accepted that loyalists' right to stay part of the UK. Took a war to get there. Ukraine special case due to the conflicts that have taken place there over the Maidan coup.
The actual real reality is the country is already broken up. Ukraine refused to accept that and preferred to go all hostile against Russia instead and look to join Nato and all that would piss Russia right off. I feel sorry for the Ukrainian citizens, who now suffer this awful war brought on them.
Interesting who’s who of Putins cronies and mouthpieces around Europe…and how they e suddenly all had epiphanies

No planning permission required if it's below 25 square metres, or somesuch I think - the fellas over in the DIY forum will be only too glad to help you out!
I think if this is going to get bigger than a Ukraine invasion, I think Putin would invade Lithuania first to get to Kaliningrad and joint it to Belarus, Kaliningrad is only 60km from the Belarus.
When should we see the results of the Belarus Referendum that was held today?
That can’t be real. That would be as close as you can get to a declaration of war.
I'm sorry but if we have to wait for Brussells to tell us we can expel the Russian ambasador, that is a joke.
