Poland have said no chance, still not playing them.

Looking around, it seems like they'd have to come from Poland, Bulgaria, or Slovakia. They'd be the only ones to have fighters that the Ukrainians are set up to operate. I think both Poland and Slovakia had plans to get rid of theirs soon anyway, in favour of more modern Western aircraft.
Unless they're supplying pilots and support crew as well it will be a bit like supplying potato plants to someone whos starving. A Ukranian Mig 29 pilot is hardly going to hop straight into a Eurofighter and zoom off into battle.

The Poles have 23 Mig-29's that could be used. Also 20 Su-22's.

'First strike' is of minimal advantage when it comes to nuclear exchange. If 'our side' struck first they would probably destroy a lot of the Soviet missile on their launchers but enough would get through to wipe out most of America and Western Europe. Mutually assured destruction isn't just a catchphrase.
