There needs to be a serious debate on the whole WMD issue. Do these WMD have any benefit to humanity? And when it is given to the rogue state, it is the equivalent of giving a drug addict strung out on meth a gun on his way to hold up the local petrol station. It baffles me that a single country can detonate these weapons. Surely, WMD should only be deployed if every country agrees, because the deployment of any WMD will have societal consequences for every nation on this earth
Just saw that report on SKY News about a 3 mile long convoy of Russian ground troops, tanks and fuel tankers rolling toward Kiev.

Just more on that report that Kyiv is surrounded, Reuters are reporting that the company who produced those images of the Russian build up recently are saying they have images showing a very large Russian convey moving towards Kyiv which is three miles long and contains fuel.
If there meeting tomorrow for talks they will want to have a bit of an A game talking to the Ukrainian delegation so I say they will go all out tonight with bombing etc. Have to say to them if this continues the loss on the civilian population will be huge and we won't hold back.

I think after Vladimir's comments today; the likelihood of an all-out nuclear war between Nato and Russia just became a whole lot closer - probably more than 50pc chance.

The Ukranians have had a good run with both media and social media giving out the impression of being on top in some way. The thing is how much of that is just cream on top of the coffee? (morale boosting propaganda in other words)

I'm sure anyone who is unhappy under Russian occupation will be encouraged to leave or face some imported OMON. Barring an internal uprising against him that removes him from power, I don't see Putin giving anything back, he basically can't or he'll definitely face an internal uprising.
Moving the line further west must be the plan. The new reality is that Belorussia has to be considered the NATO/Russian border, and to have some chance to protect that southern flank the Russians will need to move west. It's a situation they've created themselves but that's how it is now.

Yeah I think another authoritarian leader with rigged elections is the most likely scenario. All we can hope for is that they're less crazy this time.
