I do think that the MEPs extolling the virtues of Russia should be hauled before the Irish government and be held accountable. The next election is too far away. They are acting as mouth-pieces for a foreign land
If this escalates to all out Nuclear conflict ( probably less than 5% chance of that happening)
London will be a key target, we won't be a target but the radiation fallout would drift east in no time and we'd be better getting directly nuked
What was the documentary?
I've noticed a severe lack of good good political/political history documentaries the last while. I'm sure there's still great stuff on TV but finding them or hearing about them seems to be an issue.
Prevailing winds are usually west to east or SW to NE.
No way St Londonsburg is a target. Russian city. 🙂
They are also extending existing sanctions to Belarus.
I hope you’re right, but if this escalates further the language will get increasingly dangerous and we could end up with another Cuban Missile crisis type affair, which is basically the last stop.
Number of refugees in Poland is quickly approaching 200k. Ukraine agreed to allow Polish staff to get to the Ukraine side of the border with humanitarian aid for people waiting to cross the border.
UK NLAWs in action:
Very naïve to think Dublin wouldn't be targeted in an all out nuclear war. Russia has an estimated 6000 warheads. You can rest assure every major city in Europe would be getting one of them.
It's why it will never be allowed to escalate to that point.
They are so passionately supported German news translator bursts into tears while reporting Ukrainian president Zelensky’s speech (msn.com)
Does the table really need to be that big? Really? They are seated in different timezones 🧐
cancel culture has reached Russia, with a bang
Was on bbc4, can't think of the name off my head
I'd rather be killed quickly than live in a post Nuclear war world, I've seen the 1984 British movie " Skins "
America became the laughing stock of the world for electing an inarticulate, bankrupt, imbecile as president.
If such an (unlikely) scenario occurred, whereby capital cities were being nuked, the fallout is not even the most serious concern, the collapse of society as we know it is the larger threat, ATMs will stop working, global supply chains will stop, etc. We'll be straight back to farms and food.
Do you mean 'Theads?'
The American film 'The Day After' is worth watching too.
Do you mean 'Threads'
Yep. Stuff of nightmares. I'll go out in the blast cheers.
They would not get that far at all and would be wiped out.
Delighted to hear RT and Sputnik will be banned, complete weaponized disinfo mouthpieces from day 1.
Firstly there is 0% chance of this starting a nuclear war, this is just posturing by the worlds biggest bullshitter nation.
Secondly if London's nuked then you'll be guaranteed that Dublin and Shannon will be nuked as well.
Perhaps he fears a Wolfs Lair type attack from one of his generals.
Now I'd say the fallout is a pretty major concern if you're anywhere near the blast
I think that is protection against assassination - bio war, germs anthrax etc.
Video of removing a land mine (a heavy one, looks like an anti-tank) by a civilian:
pretty sure your referring to one of Adam Curtis’s films possibly hypernormapisation, in it the whole capture of the Russian state by Putin and the oligarchs is covered from a fascinating perspective.
The Indo has this piece about Irish-owned aircraft leased to Russian airlines: https://www.independent.ie/business/hundreds-of-irish-owned-planes-to-be-ordered-back-from-russia-in-days-41391470.html
Couldn't find anything on RTE (useless!). I gather Ireland's aircraft-leasing business is very large. Any ideas about how this will affect Vlad & co?
When you say 'they', do you mean ICBMs delivering multiple thermonuclear re-entry devices, Russian nuclear submarines launching from undisclosed locations in the ocean or Russian TU-95 bombers taking off ready to do bombing runs?
That's a whole lot of things in the air to try to shoot down. Only takes a few to get through for cities to be wiped out.
The US wouldn't be able to take down everything the Russians would launched at them in such a scenario, how in god's name do you think we'd stand a chance of even shooting down one?
