Which would make speed of Russian progress even more impressive given they are fighting a competent army and not lads wandering around the desert? Also 200k troops involved in the initial invasion of Iraq.
America and her Allies anilated the iraqi army twice ,
Meanwhile Russia Lost more and and tanks and aircraft in two days in Ukraine and than America did fighting every single day for 20 years in Afghanistan
Jesus Oisin. I thought you would have been able to read between the lines of my post.
We all knew it was going to happen, really.
Putin wasn't amassing his forces for no reason.
Are you Nigel Farage? I honestly hope you are. It would be so sad to think that you are nothing more than a Nigel Farage fanboy.
It is not about simply speed of invasion but also casualties. Iraqi resistance was fairly useless, Ukraine's is most definitely not. Russians have already suffered heavy losses unlike the US. If Ukraine keeps up fighting, all indication is it is next Chechnya for Russia. Also don't forget Ukraine seem to be taking back some previously captured places (e.g. the city of Sumy)
How did you forget Trump from that list?!
The invasion of Ukraine wasn't going to happen last week ......
Apart from this being a ridiculous notion - if we did officially send in troops, Russia would potentially attack us. Even if we're not in NATO, the UK would get involved, who ARE in NATO.
Long story short, WW3.
There's no need for Biden to be front and centre - I don't think he is a particularly strong leader anyway. Macron (yes thats how bad things are) seems to be the most pivotal Western Leader here to be front and centre.
As an aside, after all this I sincerley hope Farage, Wallace, Daly, Taylor Greene, Gozar etc etc and their ilk are not forgotten about and run out of politics. They have all been compromised to some degree.
The US very nearly turned itself on its head last year in the insurrection. Putin probably had something to do with it.
Do you actually not know the answer to this or? Because of nuclear war.
Better of dead in Russia, than trying to fight in the Ukraine.
The reason it is not going to happen is because NATO won't send in troops, and because Russia won't attack a NATO country. The poster asked what if NATO went in. The answer to that is simple, a complete and utter route of the Russian army and a defeated Madman with 6,000 nuclear warheads.
NATO leaders are not insane, and that is the reason it won't happen.
Exactly, why is Ireland not sending in Troops.
we are not in NATO so won’t kick off WW3
We need the aliens to come back and turn them off again!
At an unusual press conference recently held in Washington, D.C., a UFO author and a half-dozen or so former U.S. military airmen asserted that "The U.S. Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases and we can prove it." They claim that since 1948, extraterrestrials in spaceships have not only been visiting Earth but hovering over British and American nuclear missile sites and temporarily deactivating the weapons.
UFO author Robert Hastings, who organized the news conference, said, "I believe — these gentlemen believe — that this planet is being visited by beings from another world, who for whatever reason have taken an interest in the nuclear arms race."
Hastings claims that a global conspiracy exists in which all major governments have been covering up evidence of UFOs for decades.
With the European ban on Russian flights, how are the Russian thugs going to access Konigsberg? (The exclave they stole off Germany post WW2)
Are America and others going to follow suit?
Escalating sanctions faster then the rest, that's were biden is
Everyone seeking a NATO intervention, that is a nuclear war you calling for. You'd be best packing a bag and shipping off to Ukraine and helping the resistance.
Again, I'm falling pages behind by posting this but "Brilliant Post FTB". Wish I could "thank it" more than once.
Fair play to Sweden there. Really twists the screw on FIFA to kick the Russians out.
Fairly hard to ethnically cleanse a population that's the same as you.
You're assuming the Russian military has humane ways of dealing with deserters.
Apparently a comparison here between the progress made by Russia in Ukraine and the US in Iraq over the same time

I think the border crossings will be the bottlenecks. The are not a lot of them and the ones that are are probably overrun by refugees trying to get out. Getting them to the border, especially the Polish border, will be relatively easy. Germany has activated some of its wartime provisions that will give military traffic priority on all modes of transport, meaning even transit traffic like the 2000 machine guns from Belgium or the 400 Dutch anti tank missiles will be able to cross pretty quickly. I'd say a day or so for road transport to the Polish border crossings once it's loaded onto the truck. Air transport will initially be shorter, a few hour or so until they reach the closest airport to the border. Getting it across is another matter but I'd guess another day or so to get it to the front lines.
It's fair game to cheer dead Russian teenage soldiers.... if you are Ukrainian, on the ground, fighting the battle.
A lad on a laptop sitting in a room in Ireland doing it is just incel level pathetic.
You're dealing with a paranoid psychopath who appears to have totally come unhinged. It's entirely possible (and there are multiple parallels in living memory in the ex-USSR).
No it's not. It's a really dumb question.
You're right, it's not going to happen because NATO aren't going to get involved.
Not long I would imagine, perhaps less than 48 hours : they would be coming in from Ukraine's western borders from places like Poland, Czech Rep, Slovakia and Hungary and with no Russian troops to impede them.
Can't rule out anything can we really. Nuclear threat is real.
Another IL76 has just turned off its transponder off flight radar as it entered Ukranian airspace.
Flying low at around 6k feet across the Belarusian border.
Such an ominous feeling watching it knowing the desperate night ahead.
