Reports are, and it's not surprising, that Dublin is something of a safe harbour for Russian spooks that conduct ops all around Europe away from the prying eyes of British/French/German counterintelligence.
I've mentioned it before on other threads, and maybe this crisis will put it into the frame, but as an effective and relatively cheap national defence measure, a civilian national intelligence agency needs to be set up. I don't know, but I'd have my doubts if the Garda Special Branch or Defence Forces Intelligence even have a single person proficient in Russian and Russian political/institutional culture to keep an eye on this activity and recognise what they're seeing. And Russia is just one threat vector. There are many others we are oblivious to.

There was a video of Russian Fuel trucks getting hit with Molotov cocktails earlier on twitter and I've seen messages from the Ukraine defence ministry directing people to expect logistic convoys after any Russian armour moves through their areas and to attack it. Looks like the strategy is working.

I'd be of the opinion that quite a lot of that weaponry will find it's way to the Russians free of charge.... when its shot at them...and don't forget, that lots of Russian weaponry is finding its way into Ukrainian hands., and from there back into Russian bodies....its far from being a one way street.

Would it not be possible for NATO to declare a no-fly zone over Ukraine, like they did over Iraq, Kosovo and the Balkans? It technically wouldn't constitute boots on the ground!
I think the expectation is nearly that at some stage Kyiv will fall. With the difficulty the Russians are having at the minute, they would find it very difficult trying to spread across the country to conquer other areas as they don't have the logistics to maintain those supply lines.
I haven't been following the news but just checked and supposedly 3500 Russian troops are dead. What's the number of Ukraine?
