Well, if there arms dumps are in neighbouring countries, nothing the Russians can do about it.
Maybe, but it worked for the Afghans.
There's little he can do as one toe over the border of any NATO country and they'll be on him. His plan did not account for outside interference and in his head it should be over and he has no forces where weapons would come in.
Or Russia will just get a whole load of free weapons. The Ukranian army soon will not have the capacity to manage arms depots.
How long did it take them? And would they have done so if there wasn’t international pressure…..the German government have been dragging their heels hoping it is over before they were forced to make a decision
Seems this stuff is 'within the rules'. Apparently only direct intervention by NATO military personnel counts as 'interference'.
I would say if they keep taking losses, Putin will go apeshit and threaten "harsh" action against those aiding the Ukrainians.
Why is it utterly regressive?
You don't mind meeting the man who rapes and murders your daughter on the streets of your hometown?
With all the weapons on the way Russia will end up fighting NATO , technically anyway.
Think that's Ramzan Kadyrov, current Chechen leader.
USA has the death penalty
If you up the ante like that Moscow will retaliate. You want to bring ww3?
Who is the guy standing next to him in the photo Valeyard, if you know? I recognise him.
The threat of bringing back the death penalty really highlights how utterly regressive Putin's regime is domestically. Similar to the regressive anti gay laws .
Yes, I think it's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
Wow, Germany completely changes tack, will send 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 stinger missiles to Ukraine.
I'm surprised that this was even allowed to happen.
I mean, didn't Putin threaten anyone who interfered / got involved.
I would have thought this kind of military assistance is just as bad, if not worse, at prolonging the conflict against Putin / his army.
Why would Putin even allow this, if his threat is to be taken seriously at all.
Here's another Russian chopper that won't be bothering the Ukrainians anymore.
Bit late for that. Ukraine will be in Russian hands in a few days.
Honestly - there should be an explicit threat hanging over Russia , if you try turning any city into Grozny it will trigger an air war over Ukraine .. It was done for Kosovo - it could be done again
"During my nearly 20-year ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future, while also playing a positive role in our communities. I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. I remain committed to these values. That is why I am today giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea FC.
I believe that currently they are in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, players, staff, and fans."
Sorry about the copy and paste. Stewardship and care is an interesting choice of words, would love love to see the transfer of shareholding document and details of the ultimate ownership.
Russia looking at counter sanctions
He's dead? Great news for Ukrainians if true
He was obviously reading my posts on here and got a bit panicked.
I think he thinks I'm still President or something.
Abramovich just handed over control of Chelsea the the trustees of the teams charity foundation.

I would very much detinguish between a flat in Mayfair bought through a shadow company in the British Virgin Islands and the principle private residence of a Russian plumber with a mortgage in Hull.
Not sure how that disputes what I said in any way. You seem to be agreeing with what I said but am angry that I said it.
Yes I support the sanctions
I can't find the link - but the Americans put out about a week and a half ago that this is how it would run - a big push then a pause - to call for "peace talks " and regroup alter tactics then another push and a pause . And repeat till either the horrors of war bring capitulation or they get the Ukrainian government -
The report was predicting a siege of kyiv ..
Not pretty ..
Sanctions against Russian oligarchs have been ongoing for like a decade or so. Most of them tend to have close ties to Putin hence targeting them. It's far from scummy to target in that way. Do you support the economic sanctions? They're gonna hit the oligarchs too...
