Here it is, as per the article:
Background regarding Germany's refusal to approve this. This is due to the Kriegswaffenkontrollgesetz. This wonderful little phrase that looks like an epileptic centipede had a seizure on a keyboard roughly translates to "Law concerning the control of weapons of war". It was drafted in the early 1960s and covers everything from fully-automatic firearms up to warships and submarines and everything in between, and requires anyone who wants to distribute such items, whether as a manufacturer or as a third party, i.e. a foreign government, to get an approval from German authorities to do so. This is required since Article 26 of the Grundgesetz, the "Basic Law" or German constitution outlaws any action aimed at disturbing the peaceful coexistence of nations or the planning & execution of a war of aggression.
While Germany has generally been pretty lax about exporting weapons to countries not engaged in active wars, just look at all the type 207 or 209 submarines floating around, or in two cases resting on the sea floor, it has in the past taken a very dim view of supplying actual belligerents, not least because it leaves the government of the day vulnerable to legal action & criminal charges. In fact, I would not be at all surprised if some elements of the German "peace movement" will lodge a legal complaint against this decision.
Now yur suckin diesel.
These 1980s style Russian fashions are very fetching!
The Guardian Website is very good for updates.
I don't need to.
Germany now officially for removal from Swift:
I assume it is only a matters of hours since no other Country appears to be standing in the way.
Are some of them "allowing" themselves to be caught just so they can get out of this ill-fated adventure?
Confirms rank in vid
This start to look a bit farcical now from a Russian military point of view.
Yeah it’s like how the British Home Secretary Priti Patel cancelling the Belarusian mens basketball teams visas made her seem briefly not a disaster.
Well your response to the tweet was very matter a fact. The source must be rock solid for anyone to get behind it like that, you said you were a journalist? So the Ukrainian Army said something and it came from a reliable source on Twitter so it must be true right?
If he’s so fcukin great what are they doing living here in a small western liberal democracy?
On a practical level I’d be on the blower Monday morning to immigration to have these crowd checked out- if they’re legal and all then they’ll have nothing to worry about. An anonymous tip off to the Gardai would also be no harm so they can be investigated fully- this is war and I’d very very suspicious of those talking like this.
I've zero tolerance for Putin arse lickers, more over those that think they’re too precious to live in his utopia
Germany has reportedly released blocks on "all" German weapons so Third Parties can send them to Ukraine.
Now the Home side can have access to the good sh!t.
Do we know how much genuine support putin has in Russia from the populous?
Are normal everyday Russians behind this invasion or are they being shielded from it?
I ask because if there was any chance the Russian people would turn against putin and overthrow him, the west should be encouraging this as much as possible.
Yeah this will get ugly once they make a move and there's plenty of them as well. This isn't some small unit.
Actually I think posts that were deleted earlier are reappearing again. Post count jumped from 9.6k to 9.7k a moment ago.
When Little Marco said he wanted to "share more", he meant talking about his feelings
Did you see Marco Rubio's tweet where he started with "I wish I could share more", seems to be insulating that there is something mentally unstable with Putin at the moment. You would assume he's been informed by US intelligence regarding this?.
They should have broadcast Volodymyr Zelensky's powerful speech in Russian to the Russian people from a few nights ago.
I'd be concerned about the Chechyn militiamen. I witnessed them in action in Syria and, while the MP's cleaned up Damascus and got everyone to toe the line, they were brutal towards the civilians.
look up the Katyn woods massacre of polish Generals and intelligentsia in 1939.
Is "did the Chernobly thing" a euphemism?
I'd say there'd be quite a lot of radioactive waste left around after it anyways. You'd want a hazmat suit to be cleaning that hotel room
I'm sure you can do your own research and work it out for yourself.
They should know by now it was Clare Daly and Mick Wallace did the Chernobyl thing.
Syria will be interesting after this is all over. What way will Russia and Turkey act now there between one another seeing Turkey is supplying Ukraine with plane loads of weapons etc. Can see a lot more flash points there between the 2 and maybe again between Armenia and Azerbaijan. I say Russia will want to get back at Turkey down the line.
400 antí-tank missle launchers will be allowed by Germany to be sent to Ukraine. The permission is required because they are German manufactured.
Worth translating as it lists other weapons sent from other Countries and due to Germany being the largest Manufacturer they have been dragging their heels on permitting their weapons be diverted to Ukraine.
Im old enough to remember the footage shown on the news at the time , total carnage
So who was this impeccable source? The Ukrainian Military?
I know a couple of Russians here in Ireland that see Putin as a great leader and it's the West that's full of propaganda out to bring down Holy Mother Russia. One is quite convinced Chernobyl was a CIA plot to bring down the USSR. I haven't talked with them since this insanity kicked off but I'd be surprised if that general attitude has shifted much. Their equivalent I suppose would be fat MAGA Good ol boys in the US. Minus the fat.
