This start to look a bit farcical now from a Russian military point of view.
Are some of them "allowing" themselves to be caught just so they can get out of this ill-fated adventure?
Germany now officially for removal from Swift:
I assume it is only a matters of hours since no other Country appears to be standing in the way.
I don't need to.
The Guardian Website is very good for updates.
These 1980s style Russian fashions are very fetching!
Now yur suckin diesel.
Here it is, as per the article:
Background regarding Germany's refusal to approve this. This is due to the Kriegswaffenkontrollgesetz. This wonderful little phrase that looks like an epileptic centipede had a seizure on a keyboard roughly translates to "Law concerning the control of weapons of war". It was drafted in the early 1960s and covers everything from fully-automatic firearms up to warships and submarines and everything in between, and requires anyone who wants to distribute such items, whether as a manufacturer or as a third party, i.e. a foreign government, to get an approval from German authorities to do so. This is required since Article 26 of the Grundgesetz, the "Basic Law" or German constitution outlaws any action aimed at disturbing the peaceful coexistence of nations or the planning & execution of a war of aggression.
While Germany has generally been pretty lax about exporting weapons to countries not engaged in active wars, just look at all the type 207 or 209 submarines floating around, or in two cases resting on the sea floor, it has in the past taken a very dim view of supplying actual belligerents, not least because it leaves the government of the day vulnerable to legal action & criminal charges. In fact, I would not be at all surprised if some elements of the German "peace movement" will lodge a legal complaint against this decision.
Sanctions should include nationalising wealthy Russian assets in the west.
Would love if it was a surrender disguised as a capture.
In a DDoS, a website is deluged with spurious requests for information – akin to stuffing a thousand envelopes through a letterbox every second – that render the site unreachable.
DDoS attacks are pretty primitive but why not - it's better than doing nothing. WAF should in theory block the attack. There are far smarter people on both sides of the cyber war that can cause actual disruption and steal information.

So riot police being sent among the first line of offence in to Kiev?? Bizarre.
The more farce and less tragedy the better ..
On the German weapons thing - it's a bit late to be getting missiles to kyiv..
But hopefully they'll do some good in western Ukraine ..
Wouldn't be surprised if they'd already been moved to a depot close to an air base for transport to Rzezow as soon as Germany finally caved in. I know that's what I would have done if I were a Dutch supply officer. The Netherlands has its own airlift capability and 400 anti-tank missiles should be manageable for a C-130 or two.
I will say it again, courtesy of Google Translate
I presume if Russia tries to bomb transportation of weapons to Ukraine they would have to wait until the vehicles enter Ukraine? Otherwise Nato would intervene?
The Finns must be feeling very proud watching their creation being used against another Russian imperialist land grab.
It's a good question, because even Hitler had multiple attempts on his life. Surely, there must be a good Russian who might take him out?
Realistically how long does it take to get gear from Poland border to Kiev or eastern Ukraine
If it has to be done by road surely it would take days
That would be correct, attack a Nato inside their or other's borders and they call the Article 5 and all 30 members come to the fight
They don't seem seem to have any troops or other assets in the west and Kharkiv to Lviv is not far off 1,000km plus there is US monitoring of the airspace.
Outside Chernobyl.
Get the feeling tonight could be a big night. Russia probably need to take Kyiv in the next 24 hours and make real progress in the east. If a flood of weapons start coming in from the west the Russians can’t afford to by fighting in multiple areas of the country.
Stalin survived till he had a stroke - a paranoid ex kgb officer with unlimited resources and followers who are obviously terrified of him could live for a very long time .. unfortunately.
Is the right approach to be taking with a paranoid (possible) madman with 6-7K nukes at his disposal? If he has time to see his end coming is there not a danger he might decide
I am reading and seeing a lot of claims by Ukraine. I expect them to exagerate claims and I expect Russians to exagerate claims. However this not seem to be going anywhere near as easily as Russia expected. What I see as the most telling FACT is this. Russia sent an assault by Airbounre troops to the Airport in Keiv and several other places. The Krelim announced that they had halted armoured advance temporarily to allow for negotiations.
I am not an armchair fantasy general but is it not a cardinal error to halt armoured advances in support of light troops sent in in advance of said advance?
That sounds to me like the armoured advance was stopped dead.
Not only that, but Russia should be presented with a bill for restitution for having inflicted all those years of communism on the world!
In fairness it’s gonna happen sooner or later whether it’s Putin or not.
just a matter of when.
Just looked at the sheer number of social media posts showing the convoys burning meanwhile Russia is running stories of how they defeated the Ukrainians with zero loses
