I was watching a France24 debate that included a very impressive academic and expert on Russian politics, I think her name was Maria Zolkina - a Ukrainian, and she was explaining that The Russians have compiled a list of around 2 million Ukrainians who comprise what she calls 'civil society' people who actually play an active role in being useful to society and are instrumental in it's makeup - politicians, journalists, media personalities, civil servants, academics, lawyers, judges, people active on social media who are notable - and said the Russians have all their details including their addresses, and that the plan is to round them all up and make them disappear, one way or another.
It was utterly chilling. The parallels with Hitler and Stalin, Pol pot, are just awful.
He won't be happy that Erdogen has distanced himself given that Putin was the first to ring Erdogen when he survived the military coup in 2015. I hope the Russian army have learnt a few lessons from this when they decide to move on Putin. Macron revealed to journalists that Putin was a changed man compared to when he hosted Putin in France in 2017. He was just ranting about security and military and he couldn't engage with him at all. He reckons Covid and his isolation has removed Putin's grasp of the real world.
Im actually surprised of how fulsome Turkey have been in their support of NATO over Ukraine, Maybe Erdogen sees an opportunity in Syria now that Putin is bogged down in Ukraine.

Apparently Russian State Television channels were hacked and were showing Ukrainian Patriotic songs for a while (from Twitter). Hilarious if true, it looks like Russia ain't so good at cyber warfare defence.
If they level Kyiv with artillery the Ukrainians will have cover in the ruins just as the Russians and Germans did in WW2.
I did think it was very sporting of the Russians to put a big Z on their equipment to give the Ukrainians something to aim at .. I'm assuming a basic rpg which they'd have in the thousands would take out everything but front line tanks and armoured personnel carriers ..

Though every Ukrainian still in Kiev may be impeded from getting out of the city due to their absolutely gigantic balls, I hope they know to make that call when the time comes. If the Russians go full bore with their armour, that could truly be a bloodbath not yet seen in the first few days of fighting.
