And a sign of growing desperation???
Can't help thinking that it's going pretty much to plan for Russia. Largely B team sent in first. Target infrastructure, disable or secure what you can. But but most importantly- get the women and children moving, cause a refugee pile up, get eyes on enemy positions and in a few days send in your best and do your worst.
Ukraine is doing well on the face of it but why and against who?
Another destroyed Russian convoy apparently.
What happened?
Wait until you see the crews running out of food and water.... ( not to mention medicine.......)
I'd say the mods are gone 'rouge' alright, but hopefully not in the political sense...
😂 taking keyboard warrior to a whole new meaning, you do know there are probably another 30 or 40 ways to get to Ukraine.
The one is Dublin is looking to open a Massive basement area that's going to be as big as the whole compound ,
Our very own Kremlin bunker in Dublin but remember there is nothing to see here , we are your friends
It's being restored page by page (I think 10 pages each time). That's the only way it can be done.
Back from the gpo protest. Very moving.
I was looking at the Irish Red Cross financials, they spend 2.6m on wages and receive 8.3m. They would be one of the better ones.
Lemme guess. Shannon airport and USA operation in the area?
Is this thread being restored fully, or only in part?
Reports on twitter from numerous sources that a convoy of Russian Rosgvardia and riot police units has been destroyed.
Those forces are not frontline forces, they were sent to fight in soft skinned trucks and white vans. Things must be really desparate if these are the types of forces that they are deploying.
I'd understand them being deployed to an area after it had been taken was a distance from the frontline but they certainly shouldn't be going toe to toe with frontline units.
Can someone explain why. I thought that Ireland was too small to have a Russian embassy. It could have covered Ireland from its UK embassy with a first secretary. Ireland do this or at least used to do it in the past. Given the size of Russia Limerick is only down the road from dublin
They have experience with that. In 2 WW there were 2 soldiers per 1 gun. When the first one got shot the second was supposed to pick up the gun and keep moving forward. Also they were shtoting their own soldiers from behind if they were retreating under bullets from the enemy side.
Well....all posts being restored at the moment, page by page, so it's jumping.
Original thread is fixed btw
Diversion here..... Revolut is looking for donation to help Ukraine (the Red Cross) via my account with them. I wondered if I should do it via Revolut?
I have read that the Irish arm of Rv is in Lithuania, but am also reading some reports about the founders being Russian backed or something?
I would like to donate but not sure anymore about charities. Anything on the ground out there? I don't care if they use it to buy vodka and fags, they need some solace, but hate the idea of a big charity frittering it away on non essential stuff. Not sure about the Red Cross either!
What am I like! Over cautious or far too sensible. Both probably. But that never buttered any parsnips either.
Russian broadcasters have left the European Broadcasting Union it's been announced.
What the?? Mod gone rouge or genuine hack?
There were obvious bad actors infesting the other thread. Not to be too critical of the mods because I know they are probably firefighting, but those accounts were given soft two day bans or threadbans when they should have been nuked from boards.
Also a bit of clarity is data such as out email addresses safe? Would rather not end up on a list getting malware loaded emails from Ruski backed bots.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Didn't see that one coming at all
Poland is preparing a dedicated train to transport wounded from Ukraine to temporaty hospital in the national stadium in Warsaw. The hospital in stadium was prepared for covid patients.
Where did you see this?
You would think with the number of Russian vehicles running out of fuel they would want to keep the fuel stations intact
Hello, Heat and OK?
You'd want the RTE Guide as well. The invasion could go on for a while.
Destruction, pure and simple. Make life as hard as they possibly can for the people of Ukraine. Its a common tactic.
Yea I agree its hard to follow. Twitter can be a real minefield and a platform for reliable information but also a platform for much disinformation as well.
