You'd think so, but that's naive.
The people who believe the 'liberating the people' narrative are already too far gone. They would cheerlead anything up to a nuclear strike, and even then, some of them would support even this
UN Russian chair just said there is no evidence Russia are bombing any cities in Ukraine, and that the pictures of civilians being killed are actually by Ukranian forces and that the west has a cheek to "moralize" the issue, good god - making the UN to be a joke.
Don't think anyone's thinking that. Like when the earth is dying, animals are dying, the Amazon is dying, we have war in Europe, sometimes it's nice to celebrate the little victories. Like a bag of sweets of a Friday night or a defensive force getting any kind of win against an invader.
I'd love if that was true. But Russia had 200k soldiers on the border. To the people who's lives are spent planning wars, 200 soldiers is acceptable loss.
If it becomes 20000, then maybe the generals and public will begin to resist.
Every Ukrainian solider tonight
There tough aircraft and can be quiet effective in certain areas
Agreed. Most leaders in a situation like this are whisked away to safety. Zelensky is the epitome of leadership. He truly is a man of his people.
I second that too. For once our government did something right that everyone would be proud of. I'd personally try take in a family if they needed a safe space. None of us could imagine what these people are going through.
Ah no, that's really sad, only just saw her earlier today in that video of Ponomarenko on the streets with an AK
Here at 2 minute 38 seconds.

Good.
It is horrific but hopefully it emboldens the Russian people and military top brass to wake up and put an end to this madness. I mean if the stated numbers of Russian casualties is even remotely close to accurately that’s a terrible pointless loss of Russian soldiers that didn’t need to happen.
Russia using jets almost 50 years old. Crazy.
will put an end to the ‘liberating the people’ narrative
Will do... I'm off to the takeaway shortly.
They should have no right to chair anything at the UN not only are they are war with ukraine , they've threatened us all with nuclear war
You haven't been paying attention to what Modi has been up to recently
Which was something Big Donny was doing. He seen India as very important.
Well, very simple than, Russia is run like a big Mafia Paolo. Putin is cappo di tutti capi. Noone have any say unless he let's to do so. Now he feels vulnerable so he attacks..
Constant news of Ukrainian forces inflicting casualties on Russians would make you think it's a one sided beat down. I'm sure that's far from the reality.
Everyone is expecting air strikes on Kiev
Maybe Putin thought the Ukranians would let them take the capital, but it's going to be carpet bombed.
The fact that Ukrainian citizens are all being armed and instructed to resist the invasion ives Russia the excuse to say that anyone remaining in Kiev is a combattent and therefore a fair target
Putin will level Kiev if he cannot take it any other way
Disgusted with India. I wouldn't expect much from the UAE or China. I would more from India.
What other countries would support Russia?
Gifts from the UK 🚀
Sometimes I imagine something nice to eat, I don't imagine the suffering that went into it, I'm thinking about the good bit. And the good bit in this case would be that an invading force was neutralised before they could inflict any damage.
Russian chair at the UN basically saying using their veto because they were ignored in 2014 (amongst other things), talking about holding a grudge.
And now blaming the west for inflating the situation...
Live by the sword…they’re actively involved in the illegal invasion of another sovereign nation. My sympathy ends there
war is ugly, but their deaths while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saved lived.
Sounds like India want their bread buttered on all sides. Furious reading this. Plenty of them living here, if they like Russia so much they should be told where to go. Same for those in the United Kingdom
india gets 70%of its military equipment and a large portion of fertiliser from russia - heavily dependant .. also paranoid of china so needs russia at moment - america needs to build relationships with india fast ..
If this is going as badly for the Russians as it seems like it is, Putin is probably only a couple of hours away from ordering air strikes on Kiev. With all the civilian deaths that that will entail. Will probably get even China condemning him then
