This is insane. I nearly holidayed in Kiev last year….went to TbilisI instead.
As horrific as that crash was, don't be too quick to pin it down to sheer bloody mindedness and blood lust by the Russian drivers. ( and maybe it was just that too !! ) But in Grozny, I remember seeing many such incidents. Tanks, APC's etc, driven into the walls of houses, demolishing them ( and injuring the occupants ) really bad road traffic accidents in the city and the countryside. Young inexperienced drivers, terrified out of their wit's and out of their tree's on vodka. and then they lose control.
The data cables on the sea bed and Shannon would be fair targets. There is a substantial Russian fuel depot at shannon also, never mind it being used as a usaf stopover point.

I can absolutely assure you, that if ever Russia decided to attack Ireland, it would be those hated English, plus the Americans, that will come to Irelands defence, This is not the time to pop at the UK or the USA.

The courage, Bravery and Character that President Zelensky has shown when he could very well be living his last days alive is remarkable. I also say you really find out about people when things are tough not when the sun is shinning so to speak and President Zelensky is in a dark place facing literally death and his leadership and example to the Ukrainian people and the whole world is incredible.

There is a motive for Russia to invade the Ukraine. There is a large nation of Russians living there. There is no motive for anyone to invade Ireland.
If he gets ran over any more times today he might not be as lucky the next time.

Merkel and Germany's response to Crimea being invaded was to make itself dependent on Moscow a few months later.
Germany's response the last few weeks has been very reassuring for Putin.
