You maybe need to start to listen to other people...
To be fair what did the Ukraines expect? Its like Ireland inviting Russia or Chinese military into the Country. The Brits would have to response at some stage and would probably use the same playbook the Russians are using.
Everyone tends to love an underdog. I think paddy in particular though does. And there's a particular sence of satisfaction when we know these guys ain't going down without a fight
Should we drop a few bombs on Moscow?
It was widely reported yesterday that various types were used including short and medium range ballistic missiles, here's but a few:-
CNN:
Russian attacks on Ukraine that began at 9:30 p.m. ET last night have included “roughly more than 100 Russian-launched missiles of various types” in the “initial onslaught,” a senior US defense official said on Thursday.
The missiles included “short-range ballistic missiles” as the primary weapon, but the number also included “medium-range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, surface-to-air missiles,” and “sea-launched missiles from the Black Sea,” the official said.
CBS:
The initial Russian barrage included short- and medium-range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and surface-to-air missiles, the U.S. official said. About 75 fixed-wing Russian bombers were used in the onslaught, with targets focused on military depots and air defense systems, according to the official.
Washington Post:
Thus far, Russian forces have launched more than 160 missiles into Ukraine, mainly short-and medium-range ballistic weapons, the senior U.S. defense official told reporters Thursday. Russia also appears to have employed cruise missiles, surface-to-air missiles and sea-launched missiles, the official said.
Good news for Russia, Myanmar back them!
Meanwhile a couple of other unrelated sideshows that could directly affect the energy question, Russia's only real card.
Some debate on whether there will be a change of attitude towards the Saudis.
Also there are talks with Iran on their nuclear programme but that is moving as slowly as treacle. They are still fairly entrenched but talking again after Trump shut it all down.
weak response in my day no one could leave the house because of covid
So I was right and you were wrong and there was no need for the aggression?
Lay off the trolling! You might think that you are making a hilarious quip. But you are laughing at the death of many innocent people in Ukraine <claps hand sarcastically>
Bs .
Utter lies as usual
Yeah I was thinking the same, it came up on the live feed on Reddit so I don't know how true it was. I fell asleep anyway so I have no idea if it even happened.
Ukraine should not force people to fight a losing fight.
A few weeks ago we were discussing Ireland's complete lack of any kind of radar or sonar defence capabilities. This was after Russia did some testing in the waters off our south west coast. People ridiculed the idea of Russia attacking Ireland. Yet the idea of Russia invading Ukraine would have been laughed at by most sane people 10 years ago. Anyone who pretends that they could see this coming 10 years ago is a liar.
For their country? From my experience of them they will want to fight anyway.
Belligerent? Russia invaded Ukraine violating the agreement it made when Ukraine gave up its nukes to respect Ukraine's borders?
That's not belligerent?
Belligerent, like Russia stationing nuclear capable weapons in Kalingrad?
Your attempts to go to bat for Russia are pretty see through.
"For the most part Russia held the ceasefire".
So you can't even lie that they stuck to the ceasefire, their violations are so balatant.
Where did the west break the ceasefire?
Your posts should come with a health warning, may contain fake news and russian disinformation.
We've got a live one. Sometimes they lay under cover for some time before they pop out.
That Putin might consider doing something like this was predictable, that he would actually do it was not.
Very good point. I think we will start to see what real refugees fleeing war look like. They will be a cross-section of the population, possibly even a majority of women, children and elderly. The fighting age males will more than likely stay, unlike the bogus hordes of economic migrants that trampled across EU borders the last few years.
Then why force them?
The West hasn't invaded Kalingrad has it? Or any piece of Russian territory?
TO be fair, you've fallen hook line and sinker for Russian lies.
Did you miss the press conference where Putin said Ukraine doesn't have a right to exist and he doesn't recognise the independence of any former Russian or Soviet territory? Including the Baltic states?
I think fake news is going to be something we'll see massively in this conflict.
Already after 1 day the BBC has a report about all the fake photos being used by both sides/individuals.

?? The Russians weren't " invited "
Because Ukraine is in such an easy position 🙄. This is not a case of making a decision about sugar tax. Bullets are raining down on them. They are dying in their masses in their own country. Kill or be killed is their horrific reality….
Zelenskyy doesn't sound too happy about the support from the West. "I don't see a lot" when he asks who is fighting with us.
I've an awful feeling this could all be over by end of the weekend. Ukraine under Russian control, and a puppet regime ready to be installed.
He is being pretty calm considering. It most be soul destroying to realize that Ukraine have no allies in the world and they have been abandoned.
What you're saying is correct, but it's not a novel concept for war. Fake news is just a pretty dull synonym for propaganda, and there's a long history of that in warfare.
We can't be having these people fleeing war in our home. Send them somewhere else, we don't need no riff raff with their strange cultures around here. No sir.
Makes me sick.
For local consumption he is right. Yet, it's whole lot more complicated than anyone else putting boots on the ground but arming them may not be such a big problem. Engaging the Russians directly in Ukraine risks something a lot bigger.
