Complete annexation!!! The country is under the rule and thumb of the Kremlin. This is not yet the total war. Putin least on this day is trying to destroy the Ukraine military's ability to defend itself.
Have you got a point 2D? Mine's clear, RBB and others (probably you too by the looks of it) on the day Russia launched a war on a sovereign democratic country, wring their hands a little bit about Putin and then proceed to launch into blame-shifting exercise away from him. You've turned yourself into a fascist apologist and a conduit of propaganda.
That's what Putin wants, weak knee'd and naive political malcontents in the West to give breathing room for his war. And you're such a rube to give it to him. The really sad part is the penny hasn't dropped with you yet, you've been used by a fascist and a warmonger.
Could you turn on Russia Today and update your talking points? Your propaganda is a few days out of date.
From a human point of view I don't really see this as a good thing. Russia is clearly going to steamroll the country and the more resistance they meet the more bombing and killing there'll be. The whole thing is just deeply sad. I know Ukraine doesn't want to just roll over and capitulate but it's going to end the same way, resistance or not....
What's hard to understand, given how the two countries have such close historical and familiar ties, is how 200,000 Russian soldiers and all their generals just go along with this madness. Though as someone who spent quite a lot of time in Russia in the noughties I do remember people saying how brutal the army is and how anyone with money and education bribes their way out of military service, leving the poor and ill-educated to make up the numbers.
he doesnt have enough troops to occupy
I'd say as seriously as he can muster, unfortunately.
The lack of political.nous in this thread is appalling. When we were kids in the 80s, everyone was switched on. Now, so many speak and type with not an iota of learning, education or experience. But don't let that hold you back, keyboard warriors.
Hungary & Cyprus also opposed
Attention:
Raf Eurofighters entering Polish Airspace..
A sacrifice Im willing to make for being part of the first period of peace in Europe for 100s or even 1000s of years.
Dynamo Kiev 1: Spartak Moscow Níl
Can all the Putin apologists take a look at the company you're keeping? Tucker Carlson, Mick Wallace, Donald Trump, George Galloway - that's end of the paddling pool you're playing in - and it's not exactly the Rhodes Scholar end of the pool. You're being played like a fiddle and you don't even get it.
Honestly, your talking sh1te. He came across clearly, was forceful and clear. He's pissed off and this is just the first round of pain for Putin.
This is most likely why he isn't facing questions off the cuff.
Except he did.
What were you watching it on, your Mums Facebook feed?
Which has now been shattered and the EU is incapable of reacting cohesively.
My money is on him getting to the gates of Kiev, stopping, and trying to negotiating a withdrawal subject to regime change in Ukraine
Biden looked and sounded like a disinterested pensioner you’d bump into at a bus stop…
no passion, reading from a teleprompter, nothing but platitudes and buzzwords… praising the Ukrainians…. Hollow platitudes…. No leadership.
Not seeing the Eurofighter now, do see a few Stratotankers in Romania though
Edit, found it ,still in Poland, looks like its getting some air to air RAF refueling
Ukraine will accept Putin's surrender.
Zelensky is going nowhere. While he's not as popular as when he got elected, he enjoys broad appeal across the country and is still the most popular political individual in the county by a large margin. Ukrainians won't be sold on a Russian puppet crowbarred in. Putin doesn't get it if he thinks he can roll in and change a democratic government by fiat.
Well they both were at todays NATO article 4 meeting so that is very telling.
I wonder what figure Putin has in his mind as an acceptable number of casulties. The Russian army is obviously way bigger and far more powerful but a lot of Russians are going to die in a war there is little public appetite for.
They're probably already lost more men and hardware in one day then the US lost in the second Gulf War.
Or to put it how they really mean - Russia will accept their surrender now, thank you
Not surprising one authoritarian dictatorship to another but disgusting all the same.
It's over Torun right now 500kts, 24,000 feet, with an RAF 2000 feet below it right beside it.
i didnt realize all the ww2 nazis were hiding out in Ukraine, I learned something from Putin today
Putin has supporters on boards? This is insane 😂
Is there a reason for it? Are they protecting NATO airspace or polish? One incursion from a Russian jet into NATO it gets taken out?
It seems if they withdraw Swift from Russia some will lose a lot of money because Russian companies won't be able to pay what they owe. Apparently into the billions. Will be interesting to see a spotlight on this the next few days. Will expose those countries who value money over ethics, despite their hollow speeches.
Richard Boyd Barrett was on the radio earlier talking about this. 15 mins of whataboutry.
Yemen, Saudi Arabia, US.. He even was spouting about vulture funds.
Maybe he's sounds appealing to his loonie followers. Thankfully there's not many of them.
Hilarious scenes outside the Dail today with People Before Profit muppets getting absolutely scolded by Ukrainians for trying to make the protest about NATO.
