US President Joe Biden has been presented with a menu of options for the US to carry out massive cyberattacks designed to disrupt Russia’s ability to sustain its military operations in Ukraine, NBC News reports.
Four people familiar with deliberations told the news channel that US intelligence and military cyber warriors were proposing the use of American cyber weapons “on a scale never before contemplated”.
Among the options are disrupting internet connectivity across Russia, shutting off electric power, and tampering with railroad switches to hamper Russia’s ability to re-supply its forces, three of the sources said.
One person briefed on the matter said:

"Let's have a conversation in another month or so to see if the sanctions are working.."

Shocked, Putin went ahead and ordered this attack. Expected it to come eventually but this soon has surprised me I did not foresee this at all must admit. Putin was very angry with the Nato buildup in Ukraine and constantly warned to stop it. West ignored. Unfortunately now an angry Putin unleashed his military on Ukraine.

Based on what Biden said it looks like Europe's sanctions are going to be the equivalent of a limp handshake.

Who think gave them the weapons to destroy Russian tanks? Russia saw all the air shipments coming in on Cargo planes for almost a year.

So we can expect the boots on the ground in Kyiv before the evening is up if accurate.

They can't really really apart from these very brutal sanctions, which have come extremely quickly. They need to be provoked in a way that NATO can step in.

If you believe reports, Putin was heavily impacted by watching what happened to Saddam and the images of Gadaffi being pulled from that drain and lynched by a mob. Those events have apparently hardened his behaviour to make sure doesn’t happen to him
