Your day is not the same with out blaming US and the west and support your regime and dictator friends
Why dont you move to Russia
Yes, we must support our democratic friends in the Azov Battalion.
Algeria
How has the UK's response been any different? Do you have a link to these comments?
I think Trump with his impulsive behaviour would represent an unknown for Putin. By contrast, when he looks at all the other big Western countries he sees very predictable machine politicians. He has experienced enough of them over the years to be able to game out scenarios.
I believe Trump would have been unpredictable enough to make Putin think twice. After all, Ukraine has been there for 20 years while Putin has been in charge. Why would he attack now and not at any point over the years? I believe it's because he senses the West is weak and divided, and now is his time. He knows no Western leader has the stomach for war.
They're tankies, and tankies don't engage their brain. The Russian institutional state from Soviet times are well familiar there is a cohort of people that will defend any sort of behavior if it can be framed as some sort of finger in the eye of America, even if it's bullshit. These are the same sort of psychological profile that backed Stalin to the hilt even after Kruschev's speech. The same people observing from Paris and London rubbed their hands with glee when tanks rolled into Budapest and Prague. Russia knows there are plenty of idiots to pick off the tree in the West that will provide them with cover.
They're like parrots in a pet shop. "Yemen! Yemen! Israel! Yemen!".
You might need to go and get some calming mint tea! It is very early in this and the only one so far with any semblance of a plan is Putin.
Ah ok more of the Kremlin bot bullshit.
Freeing the world from the Facist, Gay & Jews.
Get a grip you are full of the same bullshit that the other idiots have been posting here for days. The only difference is you are late to the party and have not been banned yet.
Yea, just like they had their facts in places when they were sending money & weapons (and Toyato jeeps) to the democratic forces in Syria about a decade ago who turned out to be ISIS & Al Nussera front.
Oh look, tankie picked up a new word from his friends in Russia. They may give you a biscuit and rub your belly.
Threat of force is all fine but can you guarantee that the loser in this engagement doesn't just say fcuk it and hit the red button.
I actually thing there will be conflict between Russia and NATO but it will be caused by an incident. Maybe an accidental attack on polish border or Turkey preventing Russian warships using bosphorus.
Scary times ahead unfortunately, I wonder where are the hands on the doomsday clock right now
People in Novosibirsk in Russia protesting in support of Ukraine
Still nothing to offer. This shite was shot down a week ago on this tread.
Not sure if this has been posted as fast moving thread, but:-
Trump with North Korea was '' I will totally wipe North Korea off the map, destroy it totally!!''
Kim Jong Un reaction was to relax, and start a dialogue which lead to them meeting and a lessening of tension in the region.
Flexing your muscles is the only thing that deters the likes of Putin and Kim
Having been invaded several times in the 20th century (which Ukraine played a big part in) at the cost of millions of Russian lives, I'm sure there's some truth to that.
I'm going to guess nowhere since you just made up the idea as a bit of obfuscation. And alas it's working because here I am engaging with your nonsense.
Seems ordinary Russians aren't on the Putin express
Apart from the territory surrounding Chernobyl, what could they possibly want with the nuclear plant?
Shortest route to Kyiv from Belarus
I'm getting the feeling you're disagreeing just for the sake of it. I responded to a post asking if NATO should reject membership applications even if countries were clamouring for it. I answered yes, that there was no obligation on NATO to accept any membership application. You agree, so what are you posting about again?
i think the only hope of deescalating this violence is that protest from within Russia brings Putin and his inner circle down.
It is the shortest route from a Russian or Belarus border to Kiev in addition to Russia being able to use Chernobyl as a phycological weapon (perhaps).
Just to be completely clear. NATO absolutely weren't going to accept Ukraine while there was any Russian presence in the country. All they had to do was station a couple of thousand troops in the "seperatist" areas et voila, Ukraine never get into NATO.
You have been caught with your pants down ,
If you check out the area on Google Maps you'll see that it's the closest the Belarus/Ukraine Border gets to Kiev. So they're probably just moving through. The powerplant sits next to a bridge across the Pripyat River and is a natural strongpoint for any defender, that would explain the fighting there.
Seems there are more air raid sirens being reported in Kyiv by BBC.
Would be mad if it sparked widespread unrest and protest in Russia, leading to the military rank and file turning, and the eventual ousting of Vlad. What are the chances of that I wonder?
Did not expect to see that at all. Fair play to them. Hopefully the authorities won't crack down too hard on them
Why did you ask that question?
It's not a part of any of the discussion I've seen anywhere. The usual position is that countries are free to SEEK to join NATO (and other groups) if they so wish.
You know, I know, most on this thread know and Putin knows that Ukraine couldn't join NATO with the frozen conflict in the East. It's a complete red herring you're throwing out.
