I spoke to Tesla delivery team just now. The guy I spoke to was very confident of 1st half of March and they'll text around 10 days in advance. Previously when I called, they didn't really give me as definitive a steer so hopefully they know more now.
collected mine today :) super easy collection show up sign some forms there is a tent so you can spend some time checking out the car. They spent all of 30 seconds checking out my trade in just checked the odometer and that was it. Easy as can be.
collected the car with 35% battery. Stopped at the superchargers on the M1 in castlebelingham it was 18 euro from 10% to 100% which is grand. I have the charger at home now though for cheap night rates.
Overall really happy the car is amazing. It has the new ryzen processor and the infotainment feels super snappy.
no double glazed rear windows though I think that’s for the model y only.
now everyone wants a spin in the car which is great!! Ordered October 30th so overall not too long of a wait
Enjoy and best of luck.
Your order date is irrelevant but what’s important is what was the delivery date at the time of ordering compared to when you actually collected.
That seems to be the bone of contention with some people afraid to order.
Enjoy, looks great. You were lucky with the weather..
Well done .can sense your excitement.
@MikeyJoyce
Are the small front mudflaps included? Was going to order them. Anything else unexpected included?
Panel gaps look excellent from your pic...🤗
SFL Composer is a ship carrying cars for Irish March deliveries. It was due to dock at Southhampton tonight to unload stock for Uk and then moving to Zeebruger (Irish cars). Docking at Southhampton is delayed until tomorrow morning. My hope and expectation is that when ship reaches Zeebruger that Tesla will start giving delivery dates for last two weeks in March. For those with VIN assigned in source code Tesla seem to indicate a car has been formally allocated, although the official communication only happen closer to collection date. Most members of this forum are probably aware of all of this but fore newcomers it may be of help.
Found my VIN in source code, don't now how long it has been there. I was searching incorrectly. Used 'LRW' and up it popped.😊
Still no VIN in my source code although I did get a 'prepare for delivery' text from Tesla this morning
Similar experience to Mikey above, very straightforward, in and out in around 20mins. Delighted with the car, replaced the aero’s with rimetrix orbitals which I think really suit the grey. I’ll get it out for a proper spin tomorrow 😎
Looks amazing!
It’s all so random. I got a text with my VIN after accepting a change from red to grey but nothing in source code yet and that confirmation re: “1st half of March” from Tesla delivery today.
@JOL1 currently glued to SFL Composer on MarineTraffic 👍🏻
Best of luck, looks great, like the wheel covers.
Well wear Ricey, she's a beauty! How much juice was in the car when you picked it up.
Ive just signed into Marine Traffic now and see SFL Composer docked in Southampton. Anybody know what's next? That ship goes to Zeebrugge... How do they get from there to Dublin? I presume Brexit messed up previous supply chain logistics. Cheers Boris
Looks lovely - Do you mind me asking did you order the rimetrixs from them online or elsewhere? Any hassle with customs?
Irish cars unloaded at Zeebrugge, and then RoRo'd direct from Zeebrugge to Dublin
Guys, can someone explain how one would track a new order.
At what stage can you track it?
Once you get a Vin, and a rough delivery date, are we simply guessing it’s on the current ship?
First day supercharging should be FREE for all owners to make sure they can get home etc. are you sure your card was actually charged for the supercharger in castlebellingham?
I think once you have a VIN in the source its on a ship. I believe you can actually lookup the inventory on some ships using the VIN number to confirm if your car is on board. This is a good thread to follow on the shipping movements. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/2022-shipping-movements.252035/page-66#post-6415233
I don't believe that's the case any more but I'm open to correction.
Thanks - there was about 40% charge on it
dbl glaze only on the front.
Ordered direct from rimetrix and shipped via myus.com. No issue with customs other than the duty had to be paid.
Small mudflats at the front only. I'm not sure if its worth getting the longer ones or perhaps putting the ppf kit on, https://shop.tesla.com/en_ie/product/model-3-paint-protection-film
